Something like 40% of transexuals commit suicide. They do have serious mental issues, and they think that doing hormones and cutting/adding parts is going to make them better. Wishing to be another sex is the symptom - and not the cause/cure. (”Hey, I know how I can stop this nagging cough - I’ll rip my throat out!”)

So of course it won’t help. Sad really. And the docs are all too happy to take their money which is really sick.

The mental issues can be dealt with: psychotherapy/drugs.

Cutting off or adding body parts does not make you the sex your head says you are. It makes you someone who needs mental help.

Hippocratic oath means nothing anymore. It’s all about the money and/or agenda.

Your main point is valid, but I think the statistic is that 40% of "transgender" people attempt suicide at some point in their lives. That is about 9 or 10 times the rate for the general population.
