That is a possibility. More likely Meuller is “stuck” between both sides. A Catch 22, if you will. He seems to be playing both sides and can’t pull the trigger either way.
I could see Mueller claiming that a retweet of this guy would be obstruction of justice. Mueller’s charade needs to end. If only we had an attorney general.
The Senators are actually using it to prove the bias on Mueller’s team in my opinion, along with giving Steele his due:
1) Mueller should have verified the info, and the providers of it, before basing his whole investigation on it.
2) Trump associates have been arrested by Mueller for lying to the FBI, but since Steele hasn’t it looks like a biased investigation against Trump.
Laws not enforced might as well not be laws.
But crimes with no charges are well executed. Evil but well executed.
I’m pretty sure Sessions and Trump knew about his questionable U1 activities. Whether these were officially “criminal” or not, I doubt he wants to be investigated the way he has investigated others. So I think he has been “coerced” into working for Trump and is basically playing the role of “Patton” in England while Sessions is launching D-Day.

Sessions was specifically asked about this in his last testimony in the House. I'm pretty sure it was Jordan that was asking the question, and I linked to an article that was describing the exchange already once before here in FR.
Jordan didn't make the direct accusation, but strongly inferred that Sessions got "hoodwinked" by Rosenstein and Mueller, for allowing them to take control of any investigation of Russia, based on their questionable investigation of Uranium One, that we now know included Weissman and McCabe as well. Sessions never did really answer the question.
I knew I had seen this story already. I was thinking this is nothing new. Neither has anything happened regarding this breaking revelation.

I saw it live and he appeared stammered by the mere question. Time will tell, but right now the only thing his strongest supporters seem to have to offer on his behalf is "wait and see." Well we've already been waiting a year, and there was a open and shut case on Hillary mishandling classified info on day one. Still is.
