aw enforcement officials from Northern California said they will refuse to assist federal authorities in the upcoming sweeps that aim to capture more than 1,500 illegal immigrants, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday.
The paper, citing an anonymous source, reported about a planned operation to be conducted by the U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement agency. The report did not specify a date, but said it will be conducted in the near future.
Law enforcement officials told the paper they have not been notified as of Wednesday, but said they would not provide support.

I would venture to say that there are so many illegals in the ‘great’ state of mexifornia that their influence has spread deep into government and law ‘enforcement’. Mr. (Sergeant) Jose Anglada (random mexican name) has personal and cultural interests in not enforcing laws that he deems counter to the collective interests of his ancestral right to ‘take back’ the land within the California borders.
Governor Jerry Brown needs to be arrested and replaced along with all of his cabinet, and policy reforms be drafted and enacted as soon as possible.
They need an attitude adjustment. A few federal criminal felony cases on their colleagues in crime with long sentences will clear the fog real fast.
I don’t know but it sounds like they weren’t asked for assistance, and they aren’t happy about it so they can tip off the folks being raided.
Can alabama refuse to provide SSM and let federal agents come in and do it if they want to so badly?
If the political leadership is fascist so too will be the police.

We've seen how reliable anonymous sources have been.
These police are basically Mexican nationals, even if they were born here. Their loyalty is to Mexico first.
The entire state of California has been overrun by Mexicans, Guatemalans, Hondurans, El Salvadoreans, Nicaraguans, Costa Ricans, Panamanians, etc. They are taking government jobs and producing hundreds of thousands of anchor babies. Just look at all the Hispanic politicians in that one state.
The cockroaches are now moving into Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado as well. They also vote.
Not the ideal scenario, but the feds have the power to enforce federal law without the assistance of state and local law enforcement agencies - all they need are intestinal fortitude and arrest warrants.
Democrat Governor George Wallace tried the same thing over 50 years ago... stood in the school house door...
And there is also the possibility that “Sgt. Amglada” is actually an illegal alien.
And federal officials removed said democrat from said school house door...
At least democrats are consistent in their actions - they consistently move to violate the rights of U.S. citizens whenever they get the chance.
Not really. Immigration laws are federal laws. State and local government cannot interfere with federal authorities in the enforcement of those laws but they cannot be made to enforce federal laws for them or with them. That was decided by the Supreme Court back in the mid-1800's.
Time for these people to be held accountable for their actions.
