The Italians used to be referred to as WOPS, Without Papers, since most who migrated to the USA in the late 1800s and early 1900s did not have passports (because the USA did not require passports for entry into the USA then,)
It is very ironic that the Moham-madmen without papers will replace the former WOPS (for the second time in history in Sicily.
Anyone remember when the TV show “The Untouchables”, where Eliot Ness battled Frank Nitti, was also known as “Cops ‘n Wops”?
