So...if a sitting - or otherwise - government official moves next door to me, and we get into a neighborhood row, I can go to prison for standing my ground?
Paul wasn’t attacked for any governmental reason, or policy reason, or partisan reason...just over grass clippings - whether he was wrong, or right.
I guess the “elected class” have a lifelong immunity to everything.
Oh well...no free cataract surgery for Mr. Rene’.
Paul wasnt attacked for any governmental reason, or policy reason, or partisan reason...just over grass clippings - whether he was wrong, or right.
The fact is that Rand Paul’s politics are directly opposite the man who attacked him.
“Paul wasnt attacked for any governmental reason, or policy reason, or partisan reason...just over grass clippings - whether he was wrong, or right.”
This was a violent, criminal assault. It was a sneak attack on Paul’s own property. And you’re assuming the deranged, violent criminal who attacked him is 100% truthful about his side of the story?
Lock him up. It’s a very reasonable punishment. Just because injustice happens elsewhere does not mean it has to happen to everyone. Paul is one of the better senators. I’m glad his attacker is facing justice.
As long as you stand on your own damn ground, you can bay to the moon nightly, but you cant charge a neighbor from behind, break his ribs and puncture his lungs, not on his lawn, with your sucker punch and then talk about how youre standing your ground and the victim has it made because hes elected to office and youre not.
The guy who attacked Paul was not “standing his ground.”
He was on Paul’s ground.
And while his attny wants to push the story it was over that day’s lawn clippings, it is unlikely... as they haven’t spoken in 10 yrs... and whatever Paul’s habits are with disposing of leaves and twigs he’s probably been doing it the same way every other week since he bought the place, without being tackled.
Something else triggered the neighbor... most likely something in the newspaper or news app he read that morning.
