Senator who released Pentagon Papers: Republicans are 'cowards' if they don't release FISA memo
Washington Examiner ^ | Jan. 30, 2018

The former Democratic senator who entered the classified “Pentagon Papers” into the Congressional Record, making them public, says House Intelligence Committee Republicans are cowards if they let the executive branch block release of a memo on alleged surveillance abuse.

Former Sen. Mike Gravel of Alaska said Republicans on the committee would demonstrate “the height of cowardice” if they abandon efforts to release the memo after voting to do so Monday evening.

Haha, as if The Donald is gonna block it. But I appreciate the sentiment and words from a DEMOCRAT. The pot is beginning to boil.

Why hasn’t President Trump signed this memo so that we can brush up on it before the SOTU tonight?

DO not keep us waiting President Trump, sign #releasethememo

He's just blurting out a random threat / insult from the playbook. Everything we've seen in the last ten days or so says that the R's want to release the memo, and ASAP. There is absolutely no evidence to the contrary.

He does have a screw loose. Let's recall his 2008 Presidential campaign commercial from a few years ago: he stares into the camera for a full minute, then throws a rock into a lake. Then we watch the lake for another minute as he walks away.

So now we are cowards if we don’t release the memo they tried to block.

There is some world-class spin going on here.

They want us to think it was their idea to release it now?

I think of repubs as being blackmailed into submission to the Democrats.

My first thought also. Why isn’t he throwing a hissy over the Dems all voting to block its release?

The Democrats are too busy setting themselves up this morning. Watching CNN, MSNBC’s morning Joe, and they are in full panic mode like monkeys flinging poo. They are about to have their heads explode.

I Gravel has a point, although I wouldn’t necessarily anchor it solely to the memo. Most of the Republicans in high gov’t positions have appeared cowardly time after time after time...

By the same token would the Democrats be cowards if they don’t release their memo? The one the committee voted to keep secret?

Trump needs to get the state of the union out of the way, wait 1 day then sign it. Otherwise the release works against him

How does it work against him?

Get it out there. Let US SEE IT. Then let him read whatever part he wants.

The #shithole Democrats are already boycotting anyway.

Hell, they have to have 4 responses to his SOTU address and they stoop so low as to get the SFC Maxine Waters to babble her monkey crap.

They are divided.

DRIVE THE STAKE THROUGH THEIR BLACK HEARTS

Schiff has probably already leaked their memo to the Post or Times.

He looked shell shocked last evening as he blathered to the press. He looked on the verge of tears.

There may not even be a Democrat memo. No Republican has seen it. The Republicans said they could not vote on it when they had never seen it.

Republicans are 'cowards' if they don't release FISA memo

After 8 years of the most incompetent president in history, and 8 years of the most corrupt attorney general in history, only a fool would have believed that they didn't leave some disasters in their wake.
