It's a highly fortified courtroom where some of the most secretive government decisions get made. And you've probably never heard of it.

But in the coming days, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court -- known as the FISA court or FISC -- will get more attention after President Donald Trump claimed he was wiretapped during the Obama administration. (Trump has not offered any evidence supporting his claim.)

So how exactly does the court work? And why does it have a controversial reputation? Here's what you need to know:

What is the FISA court?

A way for Democrat Party to abuse government power against their political rivals.

Most people are giving the court a pass, but I don’t. If I were a judge and got to the part about peeing in Obama’s former hotel room bed I would stop the show and tell DOJ you need to tell me where you got this stuff and show me the evidence that backs up these allegations.

The FISA Court is an organ of the democrat party, specializing in covert surveillance and espionage activities, disguised as a legitimate legal arm of the legislature.

The article is from last year but it explains how the court is supposed to work. Totally unnecessary. They are accountable to no one as far as I can tell.

Sometimes I think that that peeing in the bed part was put in to show how ridiculous the entire dossier really was. Who would believe such a ridiculous claim? It’s like Dr Seuss.

Donald Trump claimed he was wiretapped during the Obama administration.
CNN is fine with wiretapping political opponents, and makes a technical complaint here. IOW, CNN is okay if Obama conducted illegal surveillance on the campaign, as long as it wasn't surveilling Trump personally.

I don’t think we need to end FISA due to this any more than the closure of the Watergate hotel due to, well, Watergate.

Still, it was abused, but only because the ‘Rats gained too much power, and after 7 years, gamed the system. After all, they had mentors like Alinsky, Soros, Zelaya, O’Dinga, ... [100 other corruptocrats].

Fact is, the Republic requires virtue in its citizens. We are at the tipping point of too many unvirtuous citizens, willing to vote in non-virtuous thugs to undermine our society.

People who hate Trump enough to want it to be true and so will grasp at ANY straws to try to discredit him.

Like the porn star thing, which she denies.

Here the very hypocritical left is up in arms about moral compromise, as if they are paragons of morality and virtue, and yet when Clinton RAPED women in office and more, all we heard is that what a man does in his personal life does not disqualify him from being a good political leader. So he can still be a good president even if he's a dirtbag in his personal life.

WHAT HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FISA courts are not necessary and obviously cannot be trusted.

When the FISA warrant was renewed they would have to provide more information as to why. What was that information used? At the point of the 3rd renewal the dossier was experiencing some discredit and more information surfaced as to it’s origin IIRC.

Was there ever action by the judge after learning that the dossier was suspect to question those presenting the request for the warrant?

We need to see the applications.

Was Holly Yan of CNN passing on classified information from the wire tap?

Something to consider...Seems 'Intelligence Thugs' were working with corrupt members of the press ( like the Washington Post, CNN etc)...

to gaslight President Trump.

.

Leaks went from wire taps...(that should have been classified)

to thugs in 'intelligence services'

then passed to corrupt members of the press... then published in papers around the country... and put on network news shows...

AND last to Hollywood fools like 'Meathead'...working with Clapper and Brennan...

Yes, this was thought-out and coordinated.
