I didn't think there would be any quick resolution to this abuse of FISA warrants. Or that other bad players would get indicted, if at all, right away.
So how would it work? Does the House committee recommend charges against certain individuals discovered in their investigation and accused of wrong-doing to the DOJ to prosecute?
Someone also mentioned military tribunals for senior DOJ and FBI officials because of the taint they have individually and on their own agencies.
I've just been curious lately as to how the mechanics of this process will play out. Draining the Swamp is fraught with peril and will require special treatment to make sure the cases stick.
It definitely won't happened like a bunch of wishful FReepers want, where these people will be perp-walked out the door one day and hung the next day. :-)
Yes Congress can recommend prosecution but it doesnt have executive authority to go further. Grassley on the Senate side has done just that with a criminal referral of Steele.
You have the contradiction here of Republicans who were no friend of Trump now helping him and the Trump administration obstructing them.
The crimes committed against Trump and others are indeed legion but he needed warriors in place to correct them and instead he has the worst shills including Sessions. Presidents tend to make personnel changes after midterms and even greater ones 2nd term.
A special counsel can be appointed to look at the FBIs malfeasance but that wont work till personnel changes are made. Long term Congress can use is authority to restructure the FBI through a commission, etc.
Keys to watch, whether anything even more revealing comes to light, what Mueller will do, and how this plays in the midterms.
....I agree, for one to have EVER voted for Obama PERMANENTLY (as you say) brands his judgment............
I saw right through the guy the very first time I ever heard him and it had nothing whatsoever to do with race.
I could vote for a black man IF EVER one came along who’s loyalty and patriotism and minimum intellect were beyond question.
