There is a movement to make it a ballot initiative. Bernie Bros may go for it, hard to tell. The legislature would love it. Previous attempts have gone nowhere.

There are so many well-heeled Bernie hypocrites where I live in Mass. As you know, there’s an option to pay higher income taxes already on the state tax form, but very few pay extra. I read an article years ago that said most who check that box have no tax liability, so a higher percentage of 0 is still 0. The Bernie Luvvies are holding on to their wallets for dear life while they run their lying mouths about higher taxes for people like themselves.

Interesting point. I think, however, that more than people are going to emigrate from California. Companies will, also. The makers are going to leave, including job makers. California is driving companies out.

It is my understanding if you stay where you are you can continue to claim the full tax deduction for property tax. It is new purchases which have the 10,000 limit. Can anyone confirm?
