It is doubtful Trump knew Rod Rosenstein when he nominated him for appointment to the DOJ. Who on Trump’s staff made the decision to put Rosenstein in the #2 spot at the DOJ and why doesn’t Trump have a screening process for these critical jobs? If a true constitutionalist had been selected for this job, there would likely have been no special prosecutor appointed, or the special prosecutor would have been truly fair, unconnected with the players, and unbiased.

Rosenstein worked for Obama for 8 years. Trump could have learned that on Wikipedia.

Mueller worked for Obama for five years. Trump should have fired Mueller the same day he was appointed and demanded a new choice who had no connections to the Democrat Party.

It seems like most trump appointments have not gotten the proper review by the FBI, medical, and tax offices. It is possible Trump is ignorant of the vetting process but more likely he just does not trust the FBI to properly do the vetting.

Am I the only one who wonders who the heck does the recruiting and hiring round the White House? Like nominating a lawyer with zero courtroom experience to be a Federal Circuit Court judge?

Oh, it's Ivanka and Jared. That would explain a lot of these snafus.....
