Mitch McConnell Has Ignored National Reciprocity Legislation for Nearly One Year
Breitbart ^ | Feb 8, 2018 | AWR Hawkins

It is February 8, 2018, which means Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has ignored national reciprocity legislation for 48 consecutive weeks. He is just weeks away from ignoring it for a full year.

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) introduced national reciprocity for concealed carry in the House on January 3, 2017. After 48 weeks conservatives overcame Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wisc.) stonewalling tactics and passed the measure.

National reciprocity was introduced in the Senate on March 1, 2017, and we have now hit the 48 week mark but McConnell is still looking the other way.

The shame of this lies in the fact that national reciprocity for concealed carry represents the single greatest pro-gun opportunity since the ratification of the Second Amendment in 1791. It accomplishes this by removing the cumbersome patchwork of laws that currently prevent the common man from traveling with a handgun by his side for defense of his own life and the lives of his family members.

Democrat lawmakers in states like Illinois and California cannot directly kill the Second Amendment so they have used restrictive concealed carry laws to do the next best thing–to fetter it, rendering it pointless. National reciprocity would fix this, mandating that all 50 states respect not simply the right to keep arms but the right to bear them as well.

But McConnell remains mum on this grand opportunity for the common man.

Simple as that...

I agree. Why waste your time....other more important things right now. And it sounds like it is something that will wind up in Supreme Court.

I think the way for it to get “passed” is for a CCW holder from another state to drop by New Jersey, get pulled over and admit he has a gun in his posession. And then ride it to the SCOTUS.

If they have to honor out of state marriage licenses and driver’s licenses...

We need national reciprocity and the Hearing Protection Act. Both expand freedom and neither will cost any votes in the November election. Just get it done!

PDT made this one of this ‘priorities’.

Of course to think a Pol may ‘lie’ to you is ridiculous.

To get it rolling ‘they’ have to start with taking ALL restrictions down in Federal Forests, Park and buildings.

That is the camels nose under the tent.

Kind of like having guns be ‘illegal’ at a gun show or gun shop.

The antis get to point at crap like that and be able to say

SEE!! They don’t even trust themselves, why should we trust them.

We have RINOs in the Tennessee General Assembly who make sure constitutional carry never gets a floor vote here.

Thanks for that. Very interesting article. I see “unsafe lane change” as code for “driving while black” or driving while young, or whatever other “real” reason the cop wanted to pull the person over.

Totally agree. He is a swamp creature through and through and we are stuck with this sob for the next 5 years. I wish the Democrat had beaten his butt in 2016. We would have been better off.
