Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker has had conversations with a few colleagues in recent days about whether he should reconsider his decision to leave Congress and not seek re-election this year, GOP sources tell CNN.
Whether it is a serious reconsideration, or just chatter with colleagues is the subject of some disagreement. There are also conflicting accounts of whether Corker has initiated the conversations, or whether he has had them with colleagues who are pushing him to think again. But several sources say the issue has come up in recent conversations Corker has had with fellow Tennessean Sen. Lamar Alexander and with South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, two of Corker's friends.
It also came up at least once in a conversation with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, CNN is told, posing a bit of a dilemma.
McConnell likes Corker, and would have preferred that he sought re-election.

They'd prefer to fill the Senate with Mitt Romneys.
great. let’s primary him OUT of the Senate. fine with me. send a message to the GOP-e. Go full Eric Cantor on the RINO.
The way things are going,or appearing that the tea party is “dead” and the spending bill just passed, he is probably thinking things are going back to the good ol days.
They probably made dozens of Romney clones in a lab back in the year 2008.
They are waiting until they are old enough to run for office.
GET OUT YOU DUMBASS! GO MARSHA BLACKBURN!!
That bill wouldn’t have happened if we had enough good Senators. Corker and Alexander might be nominally GOP, but they’re useless. Of all states, TN deserves #MAGA Senators.
If TN wants a conservative replacement for Corker, they’d better look outside the party for a conservative DINO to run in the ‘Rat primary. My bet is the state GOP will want to run a RINO on the GOP ticket.
What the RINO Corker will do is split the vote, he thinks, so Blackburn can’t win.
Yes, because for some reason that’s “winning” “NOT”
Outside of Memphis, Bob Corker couldn’t get enough votes in Tennessee to fill a bingo card. Toast. Really hated.
Just think how we feel here in AZ. Between the Mormons electing Flake, and Soros re-electing McCain, we're feeling left out of MAGA.
“it is heard, several sources, CCN is told, a conversation”... usual very-fake-news from the Clinton News Network.
The TN GOP hates conservatives. They want Alexander, Corker, Haslim, big government, country club Republicans. The TN GOP needs an enema to clean out the Rockefeller cancer that has taken over the Republican party in that state.
I want Bob to run again so I can correct my error in voting for him.
This is extraordinarily bad news.
Swamp is acting emboldened all of a sudden.
