For almost a half-hour after a school shooter dropped his assault-style rifle and escaped Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, police officers thought they were seeing his actions live on the school's security system.
They soon realized the images were tape delayed, which Coral Springs Police Chief Tony Pustizzi told the South Florida Sun Sentinel made a chaotic situation more confusing.
The 19-year-old suspect Nikolas Cruz was captured an hour later in a neighborhood about 2 miles from the school where 17 people died Feb. 14.
The newspaper reports police transmissions show that police initially couldn't get to security cameras. Sheriff Scott Israel said at a news conference he didn't know about the security system delays but would look into it.

Seventeen students died for the insane Broward/State Agreement that calculatedly manipulated crime statistics to get govt grants. This is the story the public needs to see Broward County Colluded with state officials; the cabal Ignored Crimes Committed By Students In Order To Get Federal Grants
Broward County participated in hiding and excusing student arrests. “The school system administrators wanted to disguise their Black/Hispanic crime statistics so as not to appear racist” and to gain state and federal grant money.

Excellent catch! And I’m surprised nobody (including me) considered that before. If the cops were watching a delayed video, they were watching the shooter shooting.
But in real life the shooter had stopped shooting. So there would have been no sounds of gunfire coming from the building. No one noticed that?

Sounds like the Coward County Sheriff I(diot)srael mislead America.
Not to nit-pic, but it was a 20 minute delay. My question is who put it on a 20 minute delay and Why? Seems to defeat the purpose.
“There was nothing wrong with their equipment, their equipment works, it’s just that when the person was reviewing the tape from 20 minutes earlier, somehow that wasn’t communicated to the officers that it was a 20-minute delay,” Pustizzi said. “It added to some confusion...because the officers that are in the school trying to find him were given inaccurate information, unintentionally, it’s just miscommunication, but that 20-minute delay did cause some confusion.”
When you say “no information”, exactly what do you mean?
The screaming and shots inside were over by the time they saw it all on video, correct? So the security officer everyone hates for not going in must have been pretty confused when what he heard didn’t match what he saw. Could that account for his 4 minute delay in reacting?

Who specifically was watching and where were they watching?
