Blue wave may be building in Texas
The Hill ^ | February 27, 2018 | Reid Wilson

More Democratic voters than Republicans have cast ballots ahead of next month’s primary elections in Texas, in what some party officials interpret as a new sign that a blue wave is building ahead of the midterm elections.

The Texas Secretary of State’s office said 168,000 voters had cast ballots in the Democratic primary in person or by mail in the state’s ten largest counties through the end of Sunday. By contrast, 138,000 voters had cast ballots in the Republican primary.

It is the first time in a decade that Texas Democrats have turned in more ballots than Republicans at this point in the early voting window. And it’s the first time in 12 years that Democrats outpaced Republicans in a midterm election year.

These guys haven't learned a thing.

We aren't going to vote early so you can manipulate people!
We like seeing the shocked, dejected look on your faces when the results come in!

As unlikely as this is in Texas, beware of the Trump deranged. There's a lot of 'em and they're motivated. How many is the question.

I think the air in that balloon slowly leaks away as incomes improve and dem corruption becomes apparent.

Aren’t most children born in Texas now Hispanic? If so, the State is doomed. Just a matter of time.

Hispanics have politically destroyed every state where their populations are large enough to swing elections: CA, NV, NM, CO - now all permanently under left wing rule.*

* By “Hispanic” I mean the Mestizo and Indian migrants and their offspring. The white anti-communist Cubans of FL were a minor exception to the overwhelming trend.

Those Cubans are now joined by Venezuelans fleeing communism.

The way to counter leftist appeal among any group, race, or region is to do what the leftists do. Organize!!

They have not cornered the market on ideas. As a matter of fact, their ideas suck and ours work. See Ronald Reagan. See the ever more successful president, Donald J. Trump.

Working American ideas can appeal to anyone, and will.

Texas has closed primaries.

*********

Explain that since in Texas you don’t register by party and
select which party’s primary you won’t to vote in when you
go to the polls. The process starts over when the next two
cycle begins.

I see nothing about party affiliation in the official voter registration application.

https://webservices.sos.state.tx.us/vrapp/index.asp

My understanding is that you declare your party affiliation in an election at the time you request a Republican primary ballot or Democrat primary ballot.

A couple of decades ago, when the Houston Post was still around, editor Lynn Ashby said he used to vote in the Democrat or Republican primary in alternating years so he would receive candidate literature from both parties.

Never underestimate the enemy. The amount of illegals and others who have flooded there from blue states could really screw the state over.

It’s their plan, take over by flooding with numbers and corruption.

The only way that a blue wave would take over Texas would be it they drastically redistricted the state to make every SINGLE district encompass at least some part of Houston, Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio
