Iranian supreme leader: US inability to pass gun control is the result of 'corruption'
Washington Examiner ^ | 03/05/2018 | Naomi Lim

ranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei slammed President Trump and Congress on social media Sunday for not daring to stand up to the gun lobby and introduce a nationwide ban on all firearms.

"No one dares apply the clear solution to the promotion of guns and homicide in America. What's the solution? It's to make guns illegal," Iran's supreme ruler wrote on Twitter.

"Gun companies are so powerful that House representatives and U.S. senators don't dare pass prohibition of guns, and U.S. president doesn't dare speak out, rise against it. This is corruption," Khamenei continued.

Khamenei added the country's inability to act was due to a lack "of spiritual ideals, leading western societies to this point."

He explained how he believed a nation could "achieve bliss" if it preferred "religious and divine ideals," arguing those ideals should influence investment in science and drive economies.

"Today, in U.S., violence, moral corruption, collapse of family, children and next generations' have reached a level where US intellectuals insist on changing the content of movies, advertising, Hollywood cinema, etc... to that of 100 years ago with more moral aspects," Khamenei wrote.

Iran has been in a state of turmoil this year because women have been fighting for their right to expose their hair in public, among other civil rights issues.

This is not the first time Khamenei has lashed out at Trump online.

In February 2017, he took to Twitter to blast the Trump administration's immigration policy, specifically its "travel ban," which affects Iranian nationals as well as citizens of several other majority Muslim countries.

Judge a country by the enemies it makes.

Now ask yourself this question, why would Iran care about our gun laws?

I’m sure that there are a lot of foreign enemies of the US that are disappointed that the federal government hasn’t completely disarmed the American people. It would suit them just fine if there weren’t a rifle behind every blade of grass.

It’s probably just a question of semantics, or language translation —

We say Freedom. They say Corruption.
They say Islam. We say a death cult built on rape, slavery, and the conquest of nations.

The leader of the Muslim nation responsible for most Islamic terrorism in the world, wants American “infidels” disarmed by their government.

Well, surprise, surprise!

Molon labe, turban face. You too, DiFi.

This is freedom, something an Islamic would not understand.

Banning guns.

"No one dares apply the clear solution to the promotion of guns and homicide in America. What's the solution? It's to make guns illegal," Iran's supreme ruler wrote on Twitter.

In a sane U.S.A. the "supreme ruler's" comment would be used in an excellent NRA ad that would result in an increase of about 500,000 in its membership.

In the actual U.S.A. half the population has probably already started kissing this hateful totalitarian loser's ass.

That, and: this is exactly a sensible response from the perspective of an autocratic state. Every problem is solved by more repression. “Corruption” is anything that impedes the dictatorship.

The idea that regular people have a say in matters, much less inalienable rights, is completely outside of their perception.

Yes, if you want the US to be a totalitarian dictatorship like Iran, ban all guns! That’s the ticket!

According to the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, all gun control legislation passed by Congress is by definition ‘corruption.’

Except maybe if you’re Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg and ruling according to foreign law.

Well, isn't this convenient.

The Muslim leader of the US's arch enemy and the leading state-sponsor of terrorism in the world, Iran, thinks the US should just ban guns completely.

I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked that Iran has sided with the democRATS in their efforts to ban guns from the US citizens.

Shocked, I tell you.
