Last year, Joe Patrice took to his blog at "Above The Law" to call for the firing of a pair of tenured professors who wrote an op-ed that offended him. This week, Patrice used his blog to defend a group of thuggish students who disrupted a speech by Christina Hoff Sommers.
A self-described equity feminist, Sommers is best known for her harsh criticism of the modern feminist movement. Sommers has pushed back against claims of widespread wage discrimination against women, along with feminist claims of a pervasive rape culture on college campuses.
Sommers was invited to speak at Lewis and Clark Law School by the local chapter of the Federalist Society. Prior to her arrival, a coalition of far-left student groups campaigned to prevent her from speaking on campus, calling Sommers "a known fascist" and describing her appearance as an "act of aggression and violence."
After failing to get her appearance canceled, these students showed up at her speech waving signs and chanting. A large blonde woman wearing a windbreaker that read, "Stay woke," marched a group of students to the front of the room, and led them in a call and response chant:

Free speech includes the concept of allowing other people to speak things that you disagree with.
No one has the right to disrupt an event someone else has organized and paid for.

Arguing free speech with someone who, being politically correct, doesn’t value free speech is a pointless exercise.

Spot on.
The police need to arrest and prosecutors need to prosecute the thugs who disrupt peaceful events. Thugs who get violent should be prosecuted on those charges as well. The Department of Justice should also arrest and prosecute the administration bureaucrats and classroom bureaucrats who conspire with the thugs. The DOJ should also prosecute bureaucrats who discriminate against political speech they don’t like. So called “public” colleges and universities are state agencies. State agencies cannot legally violate people’s Constitutional rights.

They won’t, because the gutless campus police are following the orders of the campus administration that doesn’t actually want free speech or at least they don’t want free speech for anyone who disagrees with them.

They plan to take away our guns and intimidate away our right to free speech.
There is no democracy left in the Democrat party. They want a dictatorship. Freedom is such a hindrance to their agenda.
