Good article except the authors confusion over what is "civil war" and what is "revolution"...

The hitlary (or any other communist) election scenario won't result in the 2nd civil war...It will result in the 2nd revolution, the overthrow of a dictatorial government as specified by the Founding Fathers...

"...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Kind of impossible to game these situations out since there are a million different ways they could go.

I can’t remember seeing the last first world civil war though. I see plenty of civil unrest, but it just tends to flare up and then flame out. The left is making the pretty safe calculation that their gradual, steady intrusions into your liberty will never be enough all at once to get people to leave their comfortable lifestyles behind to risk getting killed. People learn to cope, and I know that’s what the left banking on.

You have forgotten the surveys that have been conducted fairly frequently by the military concerning the reaction of the American military when ordered to fire on the US civilian population. It wouldn’t happen except in isolated incidents. By and large the US military would refuse to take action against the US population. The number of Liberal officers is small in comparison to the number of conservative officers. The US Military would defend the constitution. The Russians and he Chinese have huge armies but don’t have the logistics capability to move them half way around the world and support them. A few divisions, maybe? They would face a resurgent and loyal US Military that would cut them to pieces on our home soil.

If there is a God gene, isbelief in the One True God reduces the individual to a belief in one’s own godhood. Belief in the ultimate truth of self is as much a religion as any theism.

Just to speculate as to how the conservatives would win a civil war, let’s remember that:

* 2 snipers cowered the DC metropolitan area for almost a month (Beltway snipers. They killed an FBI agent who lived a few blocks from me, but at a Home Depot parking facility. They forced schools to close, police to be deployed at schools, etc. Random shootings paralyzed many civilians from even going shopping).

* Communist saboteurs took at PG&E power pylons in the Pacific NW/California, tried to wreck railroad tracks all over the country, bombed courthouses, police stations, army buildings and big company offices.

* 9/11 took out the power grids, water grids, microwave communications, roads, etc. Subways are easy to hit with a couple of small bombs.

* In the communist May Day protests of 1971, (they had a manual which was very good), a couple of abandoned junk cars ties up bridges for hours creating massive traffic jams and no-assess major roads into DC.

* Snipers - a few dozen well placed snipers could shut down all vehicular traffic in the DC area. I gave a classroom lecture on this to a bunch of law enforcement agents many decades ago. Showed them the various communist “urban guerrilla” warfare manuals (including Carlos Marighella’s one for Brazil, the MayDay Manual, one from Cuba, and some SDS manuals. They had never seen them before. Used them to explain that there are no “spontaneous” protests or riots of any significant size. There are always people who have planned for this and know how to incite mobs to cover them.

Electrical substations are very exposed to firebombs etc.
The same with some train systems electrical circuits. Subway, the same.

Individual snipers taking out key leftists would also input a paralyzing fear into most “progressives”. Only the hardcore Antifa and Black Extremists would fight with their limited arms. Don’t know which way Hispanic cartel gangs would go but they would be hit early on, if only to keep them pinned down in the inner cities of California, etc.

If the pro-American groups don’t attack the police/law enforcement people, only hinder their travel, then it might neutralize a large potentially effective force against the.

The Left have very few people in law enforcement, esp. those who would fight for them in the name of “progressivism”.

A well organized “civilian force” (i.e. local militia, gun club, etc). would be the basis for local control of the Left. They would know which targets would have to be taken out or captured very early on. Those who saw what they had done would probably opt out of going against those who are armed (better armed) and trained and experienced than them. They would chose to sit on the sidelines.

You don’t have to go into a city or town to control it. You just have to cut them off and make the price very high for anyone who might try to break out.

None of this is secret stuff. It has been in military manuals, communist publications, futuristic sci-fi/political books, etc.

Whether it would come to this in the future, no body knows. But what we have to do now, peacefully, is to organize better and smarter than the Left. If we can defeat them at the ballot box, it would greatly demoralize their followers (leaders on the Left are psychopaths and not subject to normal power projects. They are fanatics to the death).

Again, everything above is just a conglomeration of “facts” and “thoughts” put into a new scenario, one that probably will never happen, but sci-fi writers have written about revolts like this since a movie roughly entitled “Wild in the Streets”, “the Marlon Brandon biker file of the 50’s (”The Wild Ones”?), “The Purge”, “The Siege of Precinct 13”, etc.

Meanwhile, let’s start organizing like never before. The best way to stop tyranny is to out-organize it and crush it at the ballot box. Americans are totally pissed about illegal immigrants and crime, drug-epidemics from Red Chinese Fentanyl, cartel and street gangs, decaying schools, leftist ideological teachers, lenient judges, etc.

We’ve got enough to organize around for two or three revolutions. Let’s do it. Remember, November 2018 is right around the corner.

During the period of the Paris Commune, many of the citizens were MUCH more self-sufficient than would prove to be the case today. So far as food goes, the Parisians of the time has a ready supply within the city, the horses which were then everywhere, and so far as fuel, they relied almost entirely on wood, which would have been harvested from the parks and streets overshadowed by the tree cover. Nobody today would be able to find enough animal life within large cities (unless they turned to cannibalism), or have the means to harvest the tree growth, as almost everything is powered by some source of electricity, or petroleum based fuel, and with the sophisticated means of waste removal now inoperative, would choke on their own garbage within a very few days, as the water flow stopped, the toilets overflowed, and the streets became impassible because of the mountains of rubbish. And this is to presume the populace remains quiescent.

"Why Democrats Would Lose the Second Civil War, Too"

Because of their pride and lack of honest perception of the world around them.

Do you think Obama or successors would have any compunction on calling for NATO or Chinese “peacekeepers” to pacify U.S. rural areas?

And the introduction of foreign troops would invigorate and enrage the "insurgents" beyond anything the Democrats could have done themselves. You are correct in that it would be bloody, and there would be no prisoners taken.

Also, our military and LEO’s, less the very top commanders who are political whores, are conservatives. And, in the elite combat units they’re even more so conservative.

If my nephews are any indication of the mindset held by your common, combat Soldier or Marine, there won’t be much of military for the Mexican’s to join. Yes, some of the support folks might stay, but the guys toting M4s are headed home. And the one’s that, might show up, will have to be trained equipped and told to fight for a foreign country, that they have no allegiance to and will subsequently be slaughtered, by the very same guys that they are replacing.

Additionally, all those guys that are headed home, will be bringing a lot of stuff with them. So, thinking that they’ll have warehouses full of ammo, food, equipment at their disposal, will be quickly disproven when they head to the ASPs and find out there’s no more ammo, grenades, mortars, TOWs, Javelin’s, Claymores, etc etc.

The New Confederacy will consist of California, Illinois, and Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Maryland. And they will try very hard, perhaps with Chinese assistance, to have Hawaii and the naval facilities at Pearl Harbor.

They will not present a cause for war, as did South Carolina in 1861.

They will strangle transoceanic trade with the control of San Diego, San Pedro, Long Beach, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston, and Baltimore. They will disrupt transcontinental railroad traffic. And it is they, not us, who will put stealthy guerrillas into the field raiding farms in the midwest, the Pacific Northwest, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Northern New England. Their Django Unchained revenge squads will be all over until they are wiped out.

All the CW II chatter here presumes an active guerrilla army (us) against a standing army (them). It’s much more likely that the Poz Confederacy will be fielding the guerrillas against an American military which will be immobilized by the political crisis that sets all this off, and they with control of all our important ports and railheads.

It is not going to be pretty.

None of this will happen if the California crisis can be resolved politically. But this is now unlikely, in my opinion.

The UN? You mean the cowardly, blue hats, that are known for raping, robbing, molesting and pillaging everywhere they go? The only reason they go anywhere is because the US pays for everything. They are beyond useless.

Both the Russian and Chinese armies are nothing more than conscript armies that, while large, are poorly trained and would have to cross oceans to get here.

As for the narco-gangs, yes they are violent. Against unarmed mules and immigrants. Let them come up against a group of guys that have a clue and they aren’t going to hold a line anymore than a squad of hipsters in LA.

The biggest reason we have issues on the border or elsewhere is, because the American military is restrained. Do you or anyone else think that the issues we have on the Southern border would last, if we were shooting people on sight?

I understand that what you write about is a consideration, but let’s not underestimate the abilities of the people of the USA, especially in a scenario like this.

Governor Brown is already negotiating with China (allegedly about trade issues only).

California presents a special problem, socially, politically, and militarily. Unlike any other state, with the possible exception of Maryland, they have managed to radicalize a majority to the point that secession is a possibility. And in the case of California, especially if Hawaii were neutralized first, foreign involvement is virtually a given.

I don’t think normal Americans are up to speed about what it will take to retain California against her will, and how soon we have to start to prepare for war.
