Lamb vs. Saccone Special Election PA18
NY Times ^ | March 13, 2018

Posted on 03/13/2018 5:16:01 PM PDT by Pinkbell

A thread to discuss the results.

I feel like Lamb has a lot of momentum, has run as a moderate, and has run a better campaign. I'll predict he'll win tonight (although I'd like to see Saccone win).

NYT does a good job with election results.

NYT’s prediction meter now has this as a tossup.

Decidedly to the Red now. Maybe a good sign!

I have two office mates from PA, both gun lovers, conservative, but won’t vote for Trump. That’s what I’m basing my position on - he turns some people off.

But, the Dem should not be within 10 points, much less this close.

I think and hope that the new Trump re-election campaign is going to be a major factor going forward. It’ll be the first time we have something like the Soros-funded messaging machine on our side.

It appears that the Repubs are not showing up to vote. That's based on the coverage I'm watching.

Wow, the rest of the district must be all republicans!

Showing Saccone winning handily!

Is this thing usually right?

Saccone just popped (even while behind) on the NY Slimes meter to 58% likelihood of winning at 8:58 PM.

I’ll take a W, I don’t care how it comes in.

Sorry they are not conservative, I am sure they hang out at gay bars afterwards as well

Trump only turns off the people who hate cause he is successful, which are libtards

If Saccone wins by such a thin margin, I’ll bet the Dems demand a recount, and it could get as bad as Florida in 2000.

“...So, they do exist....”

Yes, I get it... but it just seems very paradoxical to support the party that supports the enemy of your Country at every opportunity and will likely get you killed.

Yes, still early and not looking bad at all for Saccone. I do worry about the LOSERTARIAN on the ballot in case this turns into a nail biter.

These are the most democrats districts reporting mostly, it’s too early to judge.

“You’re right. He’s not getting the numbers.”

The Whitehall area numbers (in Allegheny County ... to the south of Pittsburgh) are “strong” Lamb, but the turnout isn’t what was expected. Looking a bit better. I see NYT has Saccone up an estimated 0.8% ... (again, I am still a layman)

Mt. Lebanon really pisses me off ... solid blue area of limousine liberals :-). Right next to it, solid red Upper St. Clair with a lot of hard working, well off upper-middle class.

It’s actually cool to follow one of these threads and know the details of smaller areas being reported :-).

in 2016 the libtard areas were counted first

Same thing is happening here

Lamb is not putting up the numbers needed

Saccone’s areas are not even up there yet

I lived the first 30 years of my life just outside this district. A lot of pro-union, gun owning, socially conservative Democrat leaners. It wasn’t until I moved away (when the economy tanked) that I realized I was a Republican.

Yes, usually very good. I watched it indicate Jones in Alabama Senate race long before the vote tally swung his way. But maybe the NYT is goosing us!
