A former Obama campaign official is claiming that Facebook knowingly allowed them to mine massive amounts of Facebook data — more than they would’ve allowed someone else to do — because they were supportive of the campaign.
In a Sunday tweet thread, Carol Davidson, former director of integration and media analytics for Obama for America, said the 2012 campaign led Facebook to “suck out the whole social graph” and target potential voters. They would then use that data to do things like append their email lists.
When Facebook found out what they were doing, they were “surprised,” she said. But she also claimed they didn’t stop them once they found out:

Yes, figured this was going on. The freakout today is because Trump did the same thing through a third party unbeknownst to Facebook. Hope this gets full light of day, that Facebook was already doing or allowing this, not just another reason to pile on Trump.
Hardly a bombshell, Facebook on Obama’s side.

The bombshell is FB is insisting only TRUMP’S analysts used data for their campaign - Cambridge Analytics - and is attacking them.

There’s gotta be an alternative to Facebook. I seriously thought of learning coding and creating a conservative, pro-American version of it. I even had the name selected - Indivisible, but the Left took it before me.

If Cambridge Analytics thinks they are the ‘wise’ ones into this gimmick....I suspect not. There are probably a dozen political units...each working for some lobbyists or foreign power, and doing the exact same thing.
If you ask me....what this all proves is that we need to just log off Twitter or Facebook for a year or two, and reshuffle all the numbers so they don’t matter.
Considering Michelle publicly bragged about the size of their research database, this should surprise no one except the GOP-e
What I don't understand is why don't WE (conservatives) have competing companies? FOX beat out CNN... with ease over the years. A conservative version of Facebook would do equally well. Why do we put up with squatting on liberal land?
Remember, Romney blew away Obama in the first debate...and then he gave up for the rest of the election.
Don't be surprised if is turns out that the FBI and CIA had dirt on Romney that caused him to throw the election.
