PA GOP moves to oust judges over gerrymandering decision
The Hill ^ | Mar 20, 2018 | Reid Wilson

In a memo to fellow House members, state Rep. Cris Dush (R) said the ruling overriding Pennsylvania’s U.S. House district lines amounted to an overstep of judicial authority under the state Constitution, which lays out the path by which a bill becomes a law — in this case, a bill to delineate the district lines after the decennial Census and reapportionment process.

“The five Justices who signed this order that blatantly and clearly contradicts the plain language of the Pennsylvania Constitution engaged in misbehavior in office,” Dush wrote to fellow members...

While the legislature is run by Republicans, Democrats hold a 5-2 majority on the state Supreme Court...

The state House has the sole power to impeach justices, and Republicans control 120 of 203 state House seats. Actually removing justices would require a two-thirds vote in the state Senate. Republicans control 34 of the 50 state Senate seats — enough to remove any justice on party-line votes.

Nothing is more important than bringing an end to judicial tyranny. It is the single most deadly threat the Republic faces

You are 100% correct. It is high time we stop chattering about removing liberal traitors in black robes, and actually take action to remove them.

true, I am not expecting much from the Repubs. However, they have the power to do so. I say do it...just to flex some muscle. Show that they have some thing in their pants.

Well.... I have just one word to say about this... and it’s something like this:

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

Sometimes... the GOP finds their spines... and it’s always fun to be around when they do.

“The people of Pennsylvania are tired of gerrymandering and the new map corrects past mistakes that created unfair Congressional Districts and attempted to fairly diminish the impact of citizens’ Democrat votes,” Wolf said meant Monday.

Wait, PA GOP has 2/3s majorities? Why couldn’t they override Governor Dog Poop’s veto of their new congressional map then?

Does the PA GOP have 2/3 in the state house? I know that they do in the state senate. But remember that the GOP legislature didn’t actually adopt a new redistricting plan, because the SCOPA didn’t give them enough time. The best that Republicans could do was have the Speaker and Senate President agree to a map and present it to Gov. Wolf, in the hopes that Wolf would agree to it and they could then tell SCOPA that it was a consensus map. Obviously, Wold rejected the plan, since he knew that the “special master” would draw a pro-Democrat gerrymander (which he then proceeded to do).

THROW THESE INSUFFERABLE, BLACK-ROBED BASTARDS OUT ON THEIR SANCTIMONIOUS LIBTARD ASSES!

Make an example out of these 5 fascist clowns.

This needs to happen in every state.

It’s time to knock these fools’ dicks into the dirt, and bury them underneath several tones of earth!

Don’t have an answer for you brother, other than maybe they wanted it to go to the SCOTUS all along.

I just hope they remember they DO have a spine and carry through with this action against the PA democrat judges.
