Full title - BREAKING: California AG Threatens to Arrest Orange County Sheriff for Assisting ICE (VIDEO)

Orange County California voted to bypass state rules and work with the federal government and ICE officials.

And on Monday the Orange County Sheriff’s Department announced it will publicly post inmates’ release dates in order to assist ICE agents.

In response to this California Attorney General Xavier Becerra threatened to arrest Orange County Sheriff for holding criminal illegal aliens for ICE officers.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra: State law is state law. And it is my job to enforce state law. I will do so. And we want to make sure that every jurisdiction including Orange County, understand what state law requires of the people and the sub divisions of the state of California.

Reporter: Does that mean a lawsuit of the sheriff’s department or the arrest of the sheriff?

Xavier Becerra: I think I just answered that.

Oh, I see...when California wants to violate federal law that is OK, because states rights (which is rather ironic coming from the Left). But...how DARE a locality within California try to exercise any independence.

Hypocritical bastards!

Newsom will probably be the last non Hispanic governor of California. They vote for their own kind and will soon have the voting block to elect their own gov.

Can Attorney General Xavier Becerra arrest the Orange County Sheriff if he’s sitting in a Federal prison?

Short term maybe...but long term..i dont see it...i think the cal dems are trying to rattle chain of trump...but i believe that sessions and trump are looking for rock solid long term responses...and will slowly continue to ratchet up the pressure...i.e..suppose becerra locks up some deputies..but sanctuary law is deemed unconstutional...could state of calif be dinged for unlawful imprisonment?..could you imagine the size of the judgement? Despite my opinions...we will see how it all shakes out eventually and it wont end after that either.

In California the role of the state police is carried out by the California Highway Patrol.

If the CHP is told to go arrest the OC Sheriff then they’ll send a SWAT team and go after her in full combat gear. Because that’s what they do.

The issue will hinge on whether or not the OCSD officers are willing to be fired upon by CHP or if they’re willing to fire upon the CHP in order to protect their boss.

Pass the popcorn, please.

There are too many activist Democrat judges. I have a hard time seeing how we win this battle in the courts. I do agree Trump is giving the Dims rope to hang themselves with. I just don’t think Sessions is the guy. Show me one important issue he has aggressively pursued. You can’t. He’s a tip toe through the tulips beltway lifer, unfortunately. Trump needs to win a second term and find some outside the beltway doers to fight these battles, IMO.

The law is not on Becerra’s side. California Senate Bill 54, CHAPTER 495, amended State Law, added SEC. 3. Chapter 17.25, Cooperation with Immigration Authorities. In 7284.6:

7284.6. (a) California law enforcement agencies shall not:

(1) Use agency or department moneys or personnel to investigate, interrogate, detain, detect, or arrest persons for immigration enforcement purposes, including any of the following:

(C) Providing information regarding a person’s release date or responding to requests for notification by providing release dates or other information unless that information is available to the public, or is in response to a notification request from immigration authorities in accordance with Section 7282.5. Responses are never required, but are permitted under this subdivision, provided that they do not violate any local law or policy.

The sheriff has begun publishing inmate release dates and info TO THE PUBLIC.

AG Becerra apparently hasn’t read the law. LOL.

I don't believe that would happen. Why? 1. Because the CHP SWAT team would not follow the order. 2. If they did, their personal info would be all over the internet once they were hacked, or some Cop with a conscience leaked info. 3. They would become sniper targets. 4. The racist AG of Calif would not go that far and start an actual shooting civil war in California.

You have no idea how many citizens/veterans in Orange County, CA have guns. I do. The backlash from the State arresting our duly elected Sheriff would be horrific. The racist AG needs to step back.

You’re right..... Currently there is a cold civil war being waged in California with state officials knowing anything they throw against the wall will be approved of by the state, district and the 9th Circus courts. It’s a long way to SCOTUS from Sacramento. The people I know, even the non political and apolitical types, have had it.

With the election laws in California changed so that essentially only Democrats will appear on the General election ballot and all votes will be by mail people have little hope that anything other than radical far leftists will be elected to state wide offices. Voter fraud is rife in this state with the majority coming from illegals who the Democrats openly encourage to register and vote thereby diluting the votes of citizens.

When hope of fair elections and sensible government disappears a condition of widespread revolt is sure to follow. I see those conditions rapidly coming to bear. Hold on to your hat!

His illegal alien parents were given amnesty during the Reagan years. Every ill in the US traces back to the meddling of Sen. Teddy Kennedy the so-called “liberal lion.” From Health Care to Immigration to Home Finance, you name it, Teddy messed it up!
