Newsprint businesses are unprofitable and in decline as an industry. Why would a “high-growth” company like Amazon purchase such an entity?
Coverage is not determined by how you "feel", idiot. It's determined by commitment to objectivity and unbiased pursuit of truth, no matter how you "feel" about it.
This fraud wouldn't know real journalism if it bit him in the a$$.
Our local liberal rag bought out the only other remaining major local newspaper - one that was fairly centrist.
Now all we get is the ultra-leftist slant on every story and issue.
The only reasons we really keep it are the crosswords and comics!
I remember the days when you could spend an entire cold, rainy or snowy Sunday morning enjoying your morning coffee

Oh, wait....
The long-time editor flatly denied the president's claims that his paper acts as a lobbyist for Amazon. "There isn't anybody here who is paid by Amazon," he said. "Not one penny."
Absolutely correct.
But you sure know who puts the butter on your toast.
Amazon got my email address as a result of purchasing things on Amazon and they have been using and abusing it ever since. The kicker is I can't delete it or mark these emails from Amazon as "spam" because that is the address I need to use when ordering from Amazon. Amazon knows this and is intentionally bombarding their millions of customers with this liberal propaganda dreck daily.
Amazon is nefarious.
That is not the model any more.
The only boss is the investment firm who owns you. The customers are behind them, the ideological agenda, and a few others.
From books, to guns, to cars I have seen quality brands get destroyed by firms buying them out and taking all the value out of them.
