“Judge Cubbon advocates taking a holistic approach by encouraging community involvement.”

And what does that have to do with the law?

“...a suspended sentence...”

Obviously the work of those dirty SOB’s at the National Sandbag Association.

PERPS ARE WHITE

Incorrect. Here are the pics I could find of them:

Demetrius Wimberly:

Pedro Salinas:

William Parker II:

Sean Carter:

3 out of 4 appear to be black.

If they didn’t intend to kill dropping a sandbag then murder is at least to me a reach

Yikes, don't start that argument again. :-) Things got kind of testy in the thread about the kid who got decapitated on the water slide. Second degree murder is often charged in cases where there was no intent to kill, but the perp was engaged in behavior that was so reckless that it showed a wanton disregard for human life. Throwing a sand bag off a bridge onto a traveled highway certainly qualifies.

My actual reason for asking was to point out the odd wording mostly by the author of the piece..
The article makes it sound as it all for dropped one sandbag and that one ,and only one, sandbag killed the passerby.

So this is another “break the pipeline from school to jail” situation that likely got 17 people killed in Florida when Cruz was not locked up earlier nor his crimes put in the crime databases for detection. After these little animals get out, when will they kill again?

No it didn't. Ya better read more carefully. From the article below;

The four teens, all aged 13 or 14, pleaded guilty to either murder or manslaughter. The boy who dropped the sandbag pleaded guilty to murder while the other three pleaded to involuntary manslaughter

The guilty one should be electrocuted. Then maybe this crap will stop.

>>If they didn’t intend to kill dropping a sandbag then murder is at least to me a reach

Sorry, but this is ridiculous. Perhaps they believed that dropping a sandbag on a moving vehicle would result in a distortion of the vehicle, and the driver, into a funny shape like in a cartoon or video game. This erroneous belief does not absolve them of anything.

What do most murderers say when questioned about the sequence of events leading to the murder? “Then the gun went off.”

A tragedy for the victim and his family, to be sure. I’m not cutting the perps any slack, but I have to wonder how many of you, at age 13 or 14, did something really stupid, that could have resulted in a very bad outcome, but for the grace of God?
A REAL rehab center, that deals with spiritual problems (sin) and the effects of poor upbringing, if that was the case, COULD change these boys lives, but, unfortunately, most “rehab” centers are run on psychobabble, or even if they are good behavioral/cognitive therapy centers, are so short term as to be of little value. To be really effective, the whole family probably needs a spiritual/behavioral overhaul, and most importantly, WANT to change. What a mess.

Why did the 3 get accused of Manslaughter ...for what watching the one drop the bag?

“And what does that have to do with the law?”

My point was it has nothing to do with the law. She’s a “social engineer,” not a judge. It’s long past time when judges had the “ability” not to uphold the written law. They must have sentencing guidelines that cannot be overridden. “Judge” Cubbon needs to go back to whatever country from which she came. Most likely Mexico or some other Hispanic $hit hole!

They are young and stupid and it never crossed their deformed little brains that dropping any thing from that over pass would and could kill some one.
They were never taught right from wrong and their lack of human decency and normal development came from the public school system so in other words they had none

reform school = deform school as they only come out worse

Do they even have those places any longer.

Prison has a nice ring to it

Putting these kids into the juvenile justice system will assure us that when they get out in a couple of years, they will have learned all the “essential skills” needed to be career criminals.

Read the article. Clearly one suspect admitted dropping the sandbag and was charged with murder. The others were in on the 'caper' and were likely also throwing objects, but only ONE hit the mark.

This is not real complex.

The four Ohio teens who pleaded guilty to dropping a sandbag off a freeway overpass that killed a 22-year-old man were given a suspended sentence and ordered to a treatment center on Friday.

Disgusting. The man they killed can't go to a treatment center to get his life back. These vermin belong in prison.
