This was your question, no? I answered and responded to your question; Did you not think there is a possibility more than one object was thrown? Which would mean they were all doing it at the time, but only one found it's mark.

IMHO dropping a sandbag down on a speeding car sure seems to meet the usual legal definition of either 2nd degree murder or manslaughter.
They killed an innocent person but get treated by the judge as if they were caught stealing a candy bar.
