A recent transferring of Russian military equipment to the #Ukrainianborder attracted a lot of attention in social media.
#InformNapalm volunteers also have been tracking new videos and locating them on the map, trying to determine the purpose of such activity of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine.
On April 8, DFRLab published an investigation that analyzed two videos. Geolocation in the investigation was done precisely, so we will not dwell on it. We will look at the additional details that have not been brought up in the #DFRLab investigation.

What is a ....boarder?
Because the “boarder” is behind on his rent payments????
How 'discrete' can a tank rolling down the road be?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_spotting
Does something like this exist for military equipment?
Why HASN'T America transferred armored vehicles with ANY KIND OF board numbers to the Mexican border?
At some point Russia will probably move to retake all of Ukraine. It is the breadbasket of Eurasia. The numbers are off the tanks in order to claim that they are of local Dissident-Ukrainian origin when they go into action.
Maybe they're assuming the war will expand and they don't want to advertise weak spots.
Undocumented tanks crossing the border...
What could go wrong?
TITLE: Why is Russia transferring armored vehicles with wiped out board numbers to the BOARDER?
Amazingly, at 4 a.m. I did not note the one typo in title that apparently has caused great consternation for some. However, do not let the title typo totally obscure meaning of the desire of Putin to reconquer Central and Eastern European countries “satellites” under the hegemony of the Soviet Union.
BTW, I personally did NOT do the translation from Ukrainian to English... just wanted to share information with buddy freepers.
I personally believe Putin is acting rapidly as U.S.A. is perceived weakened by internal political conflict. Masking military equipment is a favorite ploy of Putin.
REFRESHER:
Term: Little green men
Putin took “masked” soldiers in unmarked green army uniforms, carrying modern Russian military weapons and equipment that first appeared during the Ukrainian crisis of 2014. The term was first used during the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, when those soldiers occupied and blockaded the Simferopol International Airport, most military bases in Crimea, and t he parliament in Simferopol. At one point, Putin stated these were just Russian soldiers on vacation!
Putin still needs to mask his aggression. The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances refers to three identical political agreements signed at the OSCE conference in Budapest, Hungary on 5 December 1994, providing security assurances by its signatories relating to Belarus’s, Kazakhstan’s and Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The memorandum was originally signed by three nuclear powers, the Russian Federation, the United States of America [Bill Clinton], and the United Kingdom. China and France gave weaker individual assurances in separate documents.
The memorandum included security assurances against threats or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
As a result, between 1994 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine GAVE UP their NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Before that, Ukraine had the world’s THIRD LARGEST nuclear weapons stockpile
BUDAPEST MEMORANDUM ON SECURITY ASSURANCES
RUSSIA, the U.S., and the UK confirmed, they would:
Russia, the U.S., and the UK confirmed, in recognition of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine becoming parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and in effect abandoning its nuclear arsenal to Russia, that they would:
Respect Belarusian, Kazakh and Ukrainian independence and sovereignty and the EXISTING BORDERS.
Refrain from the THREAT OR USE OF FORCE against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Refrain from using ECONOMIC pressure on Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine in order to influence its politics.
Seek immediate United Nations Security Council action to provide assistance to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, “if Belarus/Kazakhstan/Ukraine should become a VICTIM of an AGGRESSION or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used”.
Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Consult with one another if questions arise regarding these commitmentS
HOWEVER:
In February 2014, Russian forces seized or blockaded various airports, as well as other strategic sites throughout Crimea. The troops were attached to the Russian Black Sea Fleet stationed in Crimea, placing Russia in violation of the Budapest Memorandum.
Finally, the Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed the movement of armored units attached to the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, but “asserted” that they are acting within the scope of the various agreements between the two countries. Other official Russian sources denied that the units in the area of Sevastopol International Airport, specifically, were attached to the Black Sea Fleet.

2014 Crimean crisis
On 3 March 2014, Mamchur was given an ultimatum to surrender by pro-Russian forces. He instead chose to march to a pro-Russian checkpoint with his men unarmed while only carrying the flag of the 62nd Fighter Aviation Regiment.
Col Mamchuk said: “Last night our wives and children were at the gate protecting us. We did not join the army to be protected by our families, by civilians. We should be the ones protecting them. This morning we will march up there and show them that we are soldiers. We shall not respond to their provocation, but we shall claim back the parts of this base which has been occupied by a foreign power.”

The event marked the first time that weapons were fired in the Crimean crisis as pro-Russian troops fired warning shots as Mamchur and his regiment approached. The regiment is well respected amongst pro-Russian troops, including the historic events they went through in 1941. Mamchur and his regiment were stopped at a pro-Russian blockade where he directly confronted the pro-Russian troops by stating that, “It is our duty to safeguard the Constitution of Ukraine in keeping this base.” The pro-Russian troops eventually withdrew, while Mamchur, for twenty additional days, maintained his post in Belbek.
Under Col. Mamchur the Belbek base came to be known as a bastion of resistance. Crimean separatists then cut the brakes in the family car, death threats he has received and in Sevastopol posters had been put up demanding his execution for treachery. Mamchur wedded a military couple inside the base. Mamchur has complained that he, and his fellow Ukrainian commanders had received no help from the Ukrainian government despite repeated requests.
On 23 March, Mamchur’s base Belbek was overrun by Russian regular troops, being the last Ukrainian base to fall. Mamchur was verbally abused by pro-Russian militia and cossacks, but he refused to be provoked, and ordered his men to resist non-violently and sing the Ukrainian national anthem. Immediately he was then arrested.[18] He was released three days later. According to Mamchur’s aides he was being held in Sevastopol.
Mamchur has stated he was, during (t)his detention, under intense psychological pressure.
“They kept me in a single confinement cell for 3.5 days. On the first day unidentified Russian troops kept constantly talking to me they tried to persuade me to commit treason, betray the oath to the people of Ukraine, go serve for in Russian army. Then there was just psychological pressure they would not let me sleep, knocked on the door with gun butts. I feel well, the mood is fighting. What will I do next? First, I will take a shower, then I will be making decisions. Glory Ukraine!”
