Alaska Ping.
Alaska is number one on the list.
Alaska has the highest gun ownership rate in the country at 61.7 percent.

...the ATF's National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record is not all-inclusive, and some guns go unregistered. Uh, yeah, like all of them sold before 1998, which is when the NICS was put into effect. That would be quite a few.

And just how would See-BS know this?

I live in Commiefornia.
Some of my Guns are Registered, but the ones I owned before CA went nuts are not, including many that were bought or traded for without Government intervention back when the Second Amendment was respected.

Ohio comes in at #45
In other news, Ohio ranks #1 in unfortunate boating accidents.

"So there is a defacto registration already in existence ... unfortunately."Yes, but AFAIK, the ATF 4473 forms are not digital and while it is not too difficult to trace a single firearm to a particular FFL and retail purchaser, it becomes more problematic to convert all 4473s, most of which remain in the FFL's files, to a digital record. (This is a good thing, IMO.)

That is how it is in most states. There isn’t anywhere to register them anyway. If I want to my NV sheriff and said hey I own guns he would be all like, “No sh*t, you and everyone else. Tell me something I don’t know.”

Roger that. I suppose they may base the numbers off of BGC calls. Is/was there accounting for people moving from state to state bringing their weapons with them? I’m sure the basic numbers are close. At least a little.

And before all the boating accidents we had a 94.7% gun ownership rate....I don't even own a boat and lost 12 weapons and 46,000 rounds of ammo....
Somebody got a picture of your boat before you cast off that fateful day ...

Alaska has the highest gun ownership rate in the country at 61.7 percent. And they'll discount the relatively low gun-related crime rate by saying that Alaska 'isn't like the rest of the country,' thereby proving that it isn't the fault of the guns, but of the criminals who use them.
The fallacy of their argument will be completely lost on them.

Oh, my! Are you also a member of the FR Boating Club? I made the same mistake. Repeatedly. When surveyed (and I have been surveyed), I respond that I have no firearms. I give the same response to any doctor unprofessional enough to ask.

Frankly, I would wish/hope that theyre pretty inaccurate. I like a state of affairs where the government and other organisations dont really know what self-defense mechanisms the citizens really have. Its not like they would ever, under the most stringent circumstances, have a handle on what the criminals have, anyway.
