After all the drama about redactions and the amount of document reviews, if Rosenstein and the FBI release the subpoenaed docs, they will be shown to be liars and subject to perjury charges for lying to Congress and probably obstruction of justice as well
No way Rosenstein can comply in 24 hours, even if he really, really wanted to - which he certainly does not unless he is playing a brilliant part of an insider sting operation, which is very doubtful.
The scumbags in the DOJ and FBI knew this day was coming and hoped that by slow walking long enough, they could get enough leverage on Trump with the Mueller investigation to slip the noose. Mueller is not producing and the walls are closing in on the conspiracy which is forcing the Mueller team to increasingly desperate and highly questionable and abusive legal measures
Here is one possible scenario
Rosenstein refuses to comply
The House moves to impeach and remove various FBI and DOJ members for obstruction
Sessions or Trump demotes said FBI and DOJ people and gives them a new desks right next to Page and Strozk. Rosenstein gets McCabe’s old demotion desk
IG Horowitz has the requested documents and over the last year has no doubt independently triaged and redacted them for legit classified and national security information ( this is one reason Rosenstein cannot release the docs - if he redacts info to protect the DOJ and FBI people from criminal charges it will become obvious when the IG or Congress releases the unredacted docs).
Because of DOJ/FBI stonewalling , Trump orders IG Horowitz to release all documents not containing legit classified or national security content unredacted (which will be most ) and all documents either unredacted or in redacted form
Trump uses the exposed obstruction as justification to clean house
It obvious that the IG report is about to be released and the panic and desperation on the part of the guilty is showing

I do not underestimate Nunes. Ryan is the Speaker right now and will bring the pressure from his ability to refuse funds for the elections this Fall. There is talk of him being replaced as Speaker but he will use the full weight of his position and connections with businesses and PACs throughout the country to defund the campaigns of anybody who does not toe his line.
As it is, I believe the Repubs who are not running have already made sweetheart deals for careers afterwords and are actually working to get the Democrats back in power this Fall, and I think Ryan wants this as he has a white-hot hatred for Trump and for all of us who voted Trump into the Presidency. He will do anything to put us into our places.
If the Dems retake the House Ryan and McConnell will tell all of us to fall in line or they will insure there will be no more conservatives elected again.
This is a fight to the death for our Country and the Dems and the GOPe think they are at the verge of winning.

They knew about the Parkland shooter that killed 17, refused to act.

I know I could be pollyanna like...but I got this cuh-razy feelin’ that all of these machinations are being acted on to present a narrative of Trump under fire...I do believe that would increase his appeal @ voting time...the idiotic democrats and their Clintonoid rabid desire to control the narrative and the RINO equivication are being exposed and somewhat allowed to fluorish to make the narrative like this:

Nunes is a voice in the wilderness unfortunately. I hope he kicks over some rocks, but I've had my hopes dashed too many times in the past. Fingers Qrossed.

Mueller is a dirty cop with a dirty past. Rosenstein is a pro-Hillary anti-Trump Comey-protege. Sessions has been shivving Trump ever since the treacherous recusal. They are trying to overturn the last election. It’s as serious as a soft coup can possibly get.
