Paki IT employer NY Democrat Rep. Yvette Clarke is only one of the Democrats being investigated for theft.

Clarke did not alert Capitol Hill authorities to the huge amt of missing tech equipment that she ordered,
then had "written-off" to the tune of $120,000 tax dollars around Feb 2016.

A Congressman's written request to House admin to sign away that much "lost" electronic equipment would have been “way outside any realm of normalcy,” particularly since Clarke's small office employed only 16 aides. The $120,000 tax dollars would have bought about 150 devices.

Clarke's office failed to alert authorities until months later when House administrators told Clarke's office they were reviewing finances connected to the Awans.

==============================================

Here's the sap-happy Dem blithely "aiding and abetting" the theft of US-govt issue equipment.
"Oh, it's just a measly 120,000 tax dollars.....just write it off."

Cong Yvette Clarke describes herself as a "Caribbean-American."

Yoo hoo, Yvette, your orange jumpsuit is ready.

=====================================

EXCERPT: The missing govt-issue equipment tied to NY Cong Yvette Clarke’s office supposedly included many iPhones and iPads, an official told TheDCNF.

At $800 each, Cong Clarke's $120,000 write-off would pay for 150 electronic items. Yet, Cong Clarke's office, according to payroll records, has only 16 employees......why did Clarke need so many electronics for that small staff?

Cong Clarke's request for the $120,000 write-off came around the time of that staffing change. but she (A) refused to tell a reporter which person signed the form, and (B) why they did not fire Abid Awan at that time, or (C) why they did not alert authorities (not reporting knowledge of a crime IS a crime).

The Daily Caller reported that Cong Yvette Clarke’s chief routinely called a House help desk to inquire about the write-off process but did not ever convey the highly unusual scale of the dollar figure, the official said.

NOTE: The missing $120,000 covers only Cong Yvette Clarke’s office. Democrats employing the Pakis have not been audited for similar patterns.......as yet.

Thanks, Liz. Thought I might have missed it but I hadn’t heard anything about an effort to clean out and reconfigure their system. Un-freaking-believable!

Bad enough that the Pakis sit on the shoulders of every Congressman listening in but why wouldn’t they share, for a price, with any and every bad actor across the globe? They’re close with the ChiComs for starters and the potential list of buyers gets worse from there.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Although awan’s racket looked like an equipment overbilling scheme for congress critters that awan prolly fenced, iow small taters compared to the bigger money quid pro quos hildabeast had for sale, the awan skam may have done more damage to our country’s security.

Imo, awan had (and l doubt anything has been cleaned up) paki ISI hard wired into our congressional computer system.

No telling how much intelligence they’ve harvested from us over the years.

Amazing that no one is prosecuting this espionage.

Most taxpayers struggle to make a living and do not have much free time for other things.
But Imran was a US govt employee working for Democrat Congressmen with a lot of free time on his hands.
Imran got hired and mentored by Democrat Cong Debbie Schultz.

As a Democrat employee, Imran found plenty of time (and had mucho tax dollars) to pursue his private money-making interests:

<><> he owned 12-or so houses....

<><> he rented out some of these homes....

<><> he ran a car dealership....

<><> he ran an export company to Pakistan

<><> he had a computer systems sales company (selling stolen govt gear?)

<><> and a Blackberry cell phone “repair” operation.

Imran's thirst for money was unquenchable. He falsified apps to get several home loans from the Congressional Credit Union. He got the credit union to wire-transfer monies abroad.

QUESTION: Did Debbie DEMento have to sign off on her employee's mega-dollar transactions at the Congressional Credit Union? Particularly Imran's shady wire-transfer of some 300,00 tax dollars to Pakistan?

As you allude to the Awans were as much thieves as they were spies. Not the sharpest operators in the trade. But with the openings they created wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume that the Pakis have some pro operators who don’t mess around with phony car dealerships, equipment theft and other petty crimes working the system breaks and trying to turn assets?

Would they ignore opportunities like this?

I’ve read that paki ISI is the sharpest intelligence agency in the business world wide.

That is scary!

But they wouldn’t sell info to Russia would they?

As long as they don’t sell to Russia we’ll be OK. /s

I don’t know about sharpest but they’re effective.
Of course it helps when your target - US Congress is willfully stupid!

If you read the article and acknowledge the context that the two words were used you’ll see it is very favorable to the Republicans and not so much for the Democrats.

The Readers Digest version is the Awans 44 employers were all Democrats and all 44 Democrats refused to answer any questions and all 44 Democrats are not helping in the investigation - meanwhile, Republican investigators said that this can never happen again ... etc.

I don’t see a problem with how the Democrats and Republicans were used .... you?

Thanks for your comments. I agree that the article is favorable to the Republicans, but the main stream media will never report it like that, nor probably even cover it. How these 44 Democrats can get away with not cooperating with an investigation, and not get penalized for it is beyond me. They created the mess, and now pretend it didn’t happen on their watch.

I guess when the entire House of Representatives IS the spy ring people just don’t want to talk about it.

It's democrats - if Republicans were the majority of the crooks, CNN would NEVER stop talking about it.

Only one IT aide currently working directly for members of Congress has ever completed a background check, members’ data have been improperly mixed with other members’ data, and members provided almost no supervision, officials revealed Thursday in a House hearing spurred by “egregious” violations by former IT aide Imran Awan.

It sounds like congress needs to have their computer privileges revoked.

I don’t hear any Republicans complaining about it.

And FWIW the entire House computer system has been infiltrated and controlled by the Awans not just the devices used by the Dems who hired them directly.
