e President,' Said the Woman Who Thought It Was Her Due

Norm Macdonald, in addition to being the best Weekend Update anchor ever, is also a keen student of human nature. Last year he summed up the results of the 2016 presidential election with this koan-like observation: "People hated Hillary Clinton so much that they voted for someone they hated more than Hillary Clinton in order to rub it in." I really think that sums up our current moment. A lot of people, myself included, underestimated just how tired of Hillary everyone was. After a quarter-century of listening to that awful old criminal's angry, scolding voice, America finally said enough was enough. We still can't seem to get rid of her, and even if she had retired from public life by now, they'd probably keep bringing her up on Fox News. But at least we don't have to do what she says. Her only qualifications for public office were her genitals and the fact that she didn't divorce Bill Clinton, no matter how many times he cheated on her, and it wasn't enough. Her decades of lies and duplicity and power-hungry striving brought her just short of the finish line. That's a continuing source of relief, even for a cuck RINO #NeverTrump traitor like me.

A lot of people on the left wanted Trump to get the nomination, for the same reason I didn't want him to get the nomination. It was a serious miscalculation on the part of people like Matthew Yglesias at Vox ("Why I'm More Worried About Marco Rubio Than Donald Trump") and Jonathan Chait at New York magazine ("Why Liberals Should Support a Trump Republican Nomination").

Interesting.

Hillary might have won if she-who-was-the-inevitable-winner for-president actually allowed her Democratic opponent a real election and not piss of her opponent’s union supporters who retaliated in the falls elections by voting for Triumph.

Now these voters may re-elect Triumph because of his success in getting businesses back in the US.

Naaaaaah, these were misogynistic white males who were threatened by Her Majesty’s brilliance and competency!!

This is ridiculous.

It seems a lot of the political people who think that they understand these thing weren’t watching Trump’s energetic engagement of the people - all of those rallies, all of those people showing up at them.

I guess the privileged but ‘out-of-touch’ intelligentsia were all so convinced that it was a ‘done deal’ for Hillary, that they decided that they didn’t HAVE to work or engage!

Trump touched the hearts and good sense of millions of people; and THAT’S why he won. Hillary’s arrogance didn’t really touch anyone, and that’s why she LOST.

“...A lot of people, myself included, underestimated just how tired of Hillary everyone was. After a quarter-century of listening to that awful old criminal’s angry, scolding voice, America finally said enough was enough....”

Never, ever, even ONCE did this bitter old b*tch look in the mirror and ask herself how the rest of the Country might see her.

This old carpetbagger turned out to nothing more than an old bag on the carpet.

A thoroughly unlikable, conniving, and just plain nasty human being, and people rejected that circus - we’d seen that movie before, and it sucked the first time.

And I’ll add this...

I thoroughly ENJOYED watching her lose and took - and still take - great pleasure in her follow-on rage and bitterness.

It was one of THE defining moments of our century.

I dunno. Maybe they counted on some kind of ‘fix’ that was in; and the ‘fix’ didn’t work...

Yes, Norm MacDonald WAS the BEST SNL Weekend Anchor.

I think Lorne Michaels removed him from the position because every once in a while he made fun of a liberal sacred cow.

When you’ve spent your entire “career” riding on better - MEN’S - coattails, and then have the temerity to pretend that you’ve accomplished whateverthehell she thinks she accomplished, and then demand that people reward you with something just because you think it’s your due...

Well, you get what you deserve when they give you the giant middle finger.

Be careful when piss off people on the way up. Because those same people will be there waiting to piss on you on the way back down.

And believe me... I drank a LOT of water waiting for that day.

I still regret that she wasn’t forced to give a concession speech election evening.

The stagger to the podium, slurred speech, the shrieking creeping into her voice, the rush of others to catch her as she begins to fall................

It seems a lot of the political people who think that they understand these thing weren’t watching Trump’s energetic engagement of the people - all of those rallies, all of those people showing up at them.

I got to see Trump in person at a very important juncture in his campaign. It was at Fairfield, CT on August 13, 2016 at the Sacred Heart University - just a short drive from my house on all back roads.

It was a brutally hot August day. My wife and I stood in line for several hours waiting to get in and once inside the gymnasium was sweltering hot and people were fainting all around us on account of the heat. Trump kept us waiting for several more hours once inside because so much was going on in his campaign.

He was in the process of firing Manafort and bringing in Kellyanne Conway and Steve Bannon to run his campaign. Still, he put on a tremendous rally and it was then that I just knew that Trump would win because if he could get thousands of people to sweat in heat for him for hours and hours in the middle of blue state Connecticut, than he was unstoppable.

After the rally was done, we had a tremendous thunderstorm move through the area. We drank a lot of bottles of water that day.

You’re right about riding mens’ coattails. I can’t think of anything important that Hillary has actually accomplished, in her vaunted public life.

RE Concession SPeech:

Yeah, we got to see how “brave” and “stoic” she was by sending pencil-neck geek podesta out there to face the music while she curled up in a fetal position on the floor backstage after throwing everything not nailed down at those around her.

Her entire staff should have pushed her worthless ass out onto the stage and said “Suck it up, Buttercup. You lost it, now you eat it.”

But they’re evidently as gutless as she is.

Definitely rode Slick Willy’s coattails... she HAD to be on the coattails, because there was no room in front...because Monica was there.

The people were desperate for real leadership from someone who honored the values of our long-traditional political philosophy.

I believe that they got that kind of man.

I spoke to Norm here in Hollywood a few times with Jay Mohr, Jim Brewer etc. They lean to the right. Period. They just pretend to be middle ground to lie low before the screaming banshees called liberals.

“...desperate for real leadership...”

There’s that, but I think more to it - I’d spoken with folks on both sides of the aisle - ALL of whom voted for Trump.

The overwhelming response from folks was “he’s a guy who won’t take any crap, and will get the economy moving...”

Words to that effect.

Confidence in Witchy-poo, however, was decidedly NOT there. Folks saw right through her and her act.

The Evil wench started her career a crook (Watergate Committee.

She ended it cheating Bernie in the Democrat Primaries

Nothing in between was any different.
