In the Washington Examiner:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/jeanine-pirro-confronts-chuck-grassley-about-mueller-protection-bill-why-are-we-wasting-taxpayer-money
“Jeanine Pirro confronts Chuck Grassley about Mueller protection bill: ‘Why are we wasting taxpayer money?’”

“”The Senate isn’t getting much legislating done because we face a Democrat filibuster on every non-controversial, and even controversial, [nominee]. But most of these nominees are non-controversial...

We’ve got a President who has come to town to drain the swamp...””

Turtle/Grass need to speed up the confirmation of judges. Trump is frustrated that judges as well as ambassadors etc a re taking too long to be approved. See his tweets last week.

Bush loyalists are throwing their little obstructionist roadblocks out whenever they can. The Republican party all think that Trump is going to sink them, when in reality it’s their own lack of faith. They suck. Trouble is Trump is not a “up through the ranks” party guy so therefore he has no syndicate to back him.

There will likely be a more conservative Senate after November. It is possible that we could elect a new Senate Majority Leader. Chuck Grassley will become Senate President Pro Tem, a mostly ceremonial position. Otherwise, I would like to see him run for Majority Leader.

I saw the Grassley interview.
I thought his given reason for the protect Mueller bill was pitiful.

She’s too loud and “flamboyant” for my taste. Can tolerate her only in small doses.

With Hatch retirement January will be 38 years for Grass, 34 years for Turtle. When is too long?
( Grass historical rank is 1745
Smith of MS is # 1974)

I couldn’t finish listening to this “interview” in its entirety. This RINO liar Trump-hating SOB made me so damned angry. I have no idea why he even agreed to talk with Pirro. He said nothing of substance. Absolutely NOTHING. The Republican party is a hateful back-stabbing sham and a disgrace to this country and needs to be purged. His reply to Pirro’s question about why he backed the Mueller protection law was an insult to anyone with half a brain. He pushed it only because it combined three different proposals into one? That’s his answer? Really? What mental institution did he just check out of? This from a so-called Republican U.S. senator who chairs a committee? We are so incredibly f’n screwed.

Grassley was re-elected in 2016 winning 98/99 Iowa counties in Iowa, is certainly in his last term. He was elected to the Senate in 1980 over a “moderate” Republican and defeated Ted Kennedy’s college roommate John Culver.

Grassley clearly came across as a dissembling establishment SNAKE. He’s a swamp critter who should be flushed out of the PEOPLE’S Congress.

Yes, and there you have it. The definition of The Swamp. He is more interested in a commitment to his colleagues than a commitment to the Constitution.

Grassley, in reference to senate inaction: “The Senate isn’t getting much legislating done because we face a Democrat filibuster on every non-controversial, and even controversial, [nominee].” Pitiful, lame excuse. The senate creates rules that prevent it from doing its job and then complains that, if not for those very rules, it could do its job. Insane. The 60 vote requirement to even get to a vote is a prime example of their ineptness.

Grassley is another worthless old man who has been in the Senate far too long. He left his testicles somewhere twenty years ago and has yet to recover them. I wanted to puke when he started talking about “his obligations to his colleagues.” To hell with doing what's right for the people when you busy yourself kissing the a$$es of your “fellow Senators!”

Grassley was rightfully praised here and other places very recently for his part in quickly moving moving Trumps judicial nominees through the confirmation process.
Hes one of the good ones.
