Mike DeWine, a GOP primary candidate for the Ohio gubernatorial race, agreed to attend a 2006 fundraiser with members of a local mosque that was tightly tied to a militant Egypt-born Islamic cleric.
Internet archives show that the Noor Islamic Culture Center in Dublin, Ohio, said on its website:
On Teusady, April 18Th, Senator Mike DeWine had the opportunity to meet with rpresentative members of NOOR community. They discussed several issues that interst our community.
The archives show that the mosques website posted several pictures of the fundraiser:

This should surprise no one, he has long been a Bush League Republican.
It’s not coincidental that Texas has more mosques than most states after George W. Bush and Rick Perry were governors.
Is that not redundant?
Somebody decent running against him, (who can win in November)?
The Boooooosch strikes again!
Its not coincidental that Texas has a larger population than most states.
DEFEAT DeRINO !
This "donation to mosque" thing is so typical of the very dirty primary campaign. On the whole, OH Muslims aren't terrorists, except maybe some of Obama's Invaders. This donation came before that.
The way they're going, it'll assure a Democratic Governor. One of them, Corday, is very pro-consumer. Kucinich, the other front runner for the dems, is pro worker. One of those dems becoming gov might be the only way to get the Kasick stench out of the Statehouse.
Your previous two Governors invited thousands of muslims to Texas.
Kasick has destroyed the OH GOP. It will have to be rebuilt after he’s gone.
He’s running for Governor of Ohio. The current state senators in Congress for Ohio are: Sherrod Brown (D), and Rob Portman (R).
Nope. Mary Taylor is Kasich’s Lt. Gov. and she’s a weak candidate.
He is currently running for Governor in Ohio. Rob Portman (R), and Sherrod Brown )D) and the current Senators from Ohio.
Gosh, I wonder how. In this district (small towns around Independence) there's a very nasty primary race for an open State Rep seat to replace a Republican who termed out. One of them is a mayor with typical mayor baggage to attack. The other is a guy who seemed decent enough but seems to have been co-opted by a PAC called the "Growth and Opportunity PAC". Who knows what and whom they represent? How do grassroots emerge if very big money is spent even for a lowly State Rep seat?
OH has a crazy system where one's political party is whatever primary one last voted in. How do grassroots even get together when voters can't change or drop their political party except for how they vote in the primary?
There's something very fascist about the way OH is run. JMHO
DeWine, on the other hand, has a lot of experience campaigning on the statewide level.
He’s NOT A Friend of the Farmer either!!
De Whine certainly has a lot of experience as a political hack sucking of the public tit for his entire adult life. Oh, and did I mention, he is pro second amendment ... with some exceptions of course like the black rifles and stuff that should only be in the hands of well trained and trusted authorities and not Joe citizen. I can guarantee that if a semi-auto ban passed the statehouse this POS would sign it.
.
Virginia has a far higher concentration than texas.
