Outspoken Gun Control Advocate Came to These Ridiculous Conclusions About Gun Owners

Everytown for Gun Safety president John Feinblatt penned an Op-Ed in The Daily News detailing how (he believes) the National Rifle Association (NRA) is on a losing streak. Feinblatt comes to a number of conclusions that he attempts to present as facts, but really, they're nothing shy of hopes and dreams.

3. He cites losing corporate support.

2. He believes the majority of Americans view the NRA unfavorably.

1. He assumes gun owners will "go away."

Lucky for fineblatt stupidity isn't against the law. Since we all know surveys suck and no one pays much attention to them, the hci/hags/everytown assclowns probably don't lend any credibility to polls that show gun control near the bottom of concerns for most folks.

That woman doesn’t have a clue and wouldn’t know the meaning of “Keep your powder dry” if it slapped her upside the head.

The loss of corporate support is not one gun owners should ignore.

Dims have found a way to get around the 2A and that is by getting corporations to not deal with the gun industry and owners.

Even though I haven’t re-upped (I left the NRA in 2007 after 18 years due to them backing a retired cop nationwide carry bill, and failing to support several 2nd Amendment cases), I know that membership is surging. I will probably re-up, despite my earlier misgivings (which haven’t changed), merely to show the pols that the NRA and the gun owners it represents ARE NOT GOING AWAY AND, IN FACT, ARE WATCHING THEM CLOSELY.

We’re not going away...we’re buying guns and ammo, and bringing more people into the fold, one-by-one. This douche nozzle is delusional...but let’s not stop him from acting on his mistaken assumptions.

Hmmm. Not to be a spoil sport, but the piece said “Google searches for “NRA membership” rose “4,900 percent” since the Florida attack.” I hope the membership has increased but I don’t think the NRA puts those numbers out and I didn’t see any definitive numbers in the article. We did see that PAC money went way up after Parkland and hopefully membership has followed suit. Lars Larson(talk show host) joined and he was for years at odds with the NRA for something but figured this was a time to unite. I still prefer GOA but you gotta go where the money does some good.

Correct.

We used to ban monopolies. Now we mandate them.

Consolidation of power is never a good thing, be it in private or public enterprise.

I agree. The Progs have found a powerful weapon in Virtue Signaling as a way of demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibity. These businesses are ignoring a very large segment of the population by claiming CSR on this issue. Being a scared little anti-gun girl is not an “immutable characteristic” that lets them thumb their nose at the majority like they do on most victim group issues.

"Common Sense" = Stop contradicting me

"Assault Rifle" = It's black and scary

"High Powered" = I don't know the difference between a rifle and a walking stick

"Semi/Full Automatic" = What difference, at this point, does it make?

"Military Grade" = I watched 'Apocalypse Now' on cable last night

"High Capacity" = I get my talking points from CNN commentators

I might be able to come up with a few more translations, lemme think on it.

I suggest...drawing a picture of a gun...and sending it to Fartbreath.

In rough numbers there are:

330 Million Americans,

120 Million gun owners,

80 Million kids,

Let’s assume that not everybody not currently owning a gun is NOT “anti-gun”.

From where does he presume a “majority”?

"From where does he presume a “majority”?"

Probably because less than half the population actually owns guns, forgetting that at least "some" part of that non-gun-owning majority agrees with the NRA, but currently are not gun owners.

The NRA is setting membership records. This isn’t simply people who are willing to listen to them, or vote as they recommend, it’s people fed up enough to send them their hard-earned money. Anyone missing the significance of this isn’t serious about the issue.
