The Department of Justice lost its latest battle with Congress Thursday when it allowed House Intelligence Committee members to view classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBIs investigation of the Trump campaign. Even without official confirmation of that sources name, the news so far holds some stunning implications.
Among them is that the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation outright hid critical information from a congressional investigation. In a Thursday press conference, Speaker Paul Ryan bluntly noted that Intelligence Chairman Devin Nuness request for details on this secret source was wholly appropriate, completely within the scope of the committees long-running FBI investigation, and something that probably should have been answered a while ago. Translation: The department knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it.
House investigators nonetheless sniffed out a name, and Mr. Nunes in recent weeks issued a letter and a subpoena demanding more details. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosensteins response was to double downaccusing the House of extortion and delivering a speech in which he claimed that declining to open the FBIs files to review is a constitutional duty. Justice asked the White House to back its stonewall. And it even began spinning that daddy of all superspook argumentsthat revealing any detail about this particular asset could result in loss of human lives.
This is desperation, and it strongly suggests that whatever is in these files is going to prove very uncomfortable to the FBI.

For the last ten years I’ve said the same thing at the close of the year:
“You think this year was interesting, just wait until next year.”
I believe 2018 will make 2017 look downright boring.
the FBI put a spy into the Trump campaign [campaign!]. Then they used fake information that was invented by foreign intelligence officers to get FISA warrants.
these spies tried to plant russion collusion evidence into the campaign.
FISA was fraudulently used. The judge(s) likely in on it. This is bad. Really, really, bad.
In this situation, the crime is sedition/treason. The cover up too.
I now think there will be at least one person executed for treason.
Its interesting, and puzzling to me, how the bureaucracy of the DOJ seems to be working against Trump, and still supports Mueller in his efforts.
And yet Trump, while occasionally critical of the DOJ and Sessions, has been extremely patient with Mueller, and the bureaucratic stonewalling surrounding DOJ/FBI spying of his campaign. For example, he could order the release of any confidential info he wants. Yet he has not.
Sundance has identified the probable culprit as Stefan Halper. Please see:
Sessions is the spy.
In the minds of the MSM, such utter corruption in the DOJ and the FBI pales in comparison to the hush money paid out to the tramp.
Everyone who has an office in those buildings needs to be moved out and quarantined. Rotten to the very core; to be more precise, Obama cloned himself in that Department.
It was a good post right up to the end. Nobody can be charged with treason in this case. Look up the legal definition of treason, and you’ll see why nobody has been convicted of a treason charge in more than 50 years.
McCain was the leak under GWB.
I suspect the left found it so easy to do they decided to use the FBI to do it to Trump.
Obama was never good at covering his tracks.
Halper woudn't be the insider. Sundance names four names for insider. Could be one or all. Papadopolous, Manafort, Gates, and Carter Page as candidates for inside stooge on FBI pay.

Halper is the outside coordinator.
Multiple roles, multiple players involved.
Not sure how the time elapsed since last treason conviction is related to whether or not it will happen now.

I have doubts that anything will ever happen at all just because the power of the swamp. But my doubts are not related to the time elapsed since the last convictions...
Sessions is on the SES payroll. Mole since before day one.
Whoever it is, they had better strongly consider moving out of
the U.S.
Certainly seems like it.
THE FBI NEEDS TO BE DISBANDED and it’s functions absorbed into the (Constitutionally authorized) Sheriffs
AFTER they weed out those that do not have the public interests at heart.
Not sure how far that risk goes with Gates. papadouplous is a knowbody, and Page is already outed as an FBI informant.
Notice they were charge with espionage, not treason. They couldn’t be charged with treason because a treason charge can only be made if they are aiding an enemy in a declared war. The last person convicted of treason was some Japanese-American guy who served in the Japanese military during World War II.
The FBI has been rotten since day 1. Planting agents provocateur into groups the deep state doesn’t like is it’s modus operandi. It should be disbanded.

@JackPosobiec
As we reported earlier today, the FBI source is most likely Stefan Halper, who met with Page, Papadopoulos, and one unnamed Trump official working with Comey on the dossier. The unnamed Trump official is most likely Michael Cohen
