I’ve honestly forgotten who I’m supposed to be hating. Corruption and venality is something that’s endemic in our modern business world. Short of going all local-artisan, local-farmer and greenie, I don’t know what hope there is, and then we would look like yet another set of fanatics we don’t like.

Don’t boycott the alligators. Drain the swamp.

That’s what I tell people who try to tell me I should’t watch Fox News or subscribe to Comcast or any of a number of things. It’s called freedom, great concept.

Besides, boycotts don’t work.

I don’t know what hope there is, and then we would look like yet another set of fanatics we don’t like.

Couldn't care less what my actions, and by extension, myself look like to others. How my actions please my heavenly father is another thing altogether.

Case in point: The television show "The Walking Dead" was a show I would sit down with my eldest daughter and watch religiously. However, once they went down the path of showing the gay kiss, and other plot choices that signaled, maybe even benignly, support for Homosexuality, I could no longer watch the show and had to make the choice for my daughter as well. It would no longer please my heavenly father to take part in that activity, and equally important, I had to set the example for my daughter. I could not lend myself to the evil involved. This approach holds true, in a lesser extent to political issues. I will not support companies who purposefully pursue the hindrance, limitation, or removal of my God-given individual rights. If that makes me look "weird" in someone elses eyes, so be it. But maybe they are the ones who need to evaluate their moral system and see where they are wrong.
