This is how a nation falls: There is price inflation, but not wage inflation. It’s also what brings elderly out of retirement. A friends parents had to do that around 1980. High price inflation made their life savings and retirement effectively worth so little they had to go back to work to make ends meet.

Well, you cut classes in school and open your legs for any pimple faced sperminator that smiles at you, resulting in babies no one is prepared to care for, what kind of job do you expect to get? These “struggling families” alluded to are most probably single mothers who could have easily avoided single motherhood with a scintilla of responsibility—heck, they hand out free condoms and birth control in school—and illegal criminal invaders with limited language skills. Both are completely avoidable and neither gets a drop of sympathy from me. You makes your bed, go lie in it. Why should those of us who delayed instant gratification, put our shoulders to the grindstone to obtain an education and worked hard to get responsible well-paying jobs have to pay for those of you who didn’t?
This is why import tariffs are so important.
When we lowered our import tariffs, we started offshoring jobs. The net effect is that real wages stagnated and unemployment began creeping up.
We need to get the import tariffs restored so that real wages start back up.
