A pair of NJ Transit buses collided inside the Lincoln Tunnel Friday morning, leaving 31 people injured, officials said.
The crash occurred around 9:50 a.m. in the center tube of the tunnel. After the rear end collision, both buses proceeded out of the tunnel onto the New York side, said Steve Coleman, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

In New Jersey, this usually means there were 20-25 passengers on the buses, and the rest of the "injured" were bystanders who ran onto one of the buses and claimed to be injured so they could collect financial settlements from NJ Transit.
