Mueller moves ahead with Papadopoulos sentencing

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has told a court he is ready to move ahead with the sentencing of former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos.

“The parties respectfully request that the Court refer this case for the preparation of a pre-sentence investigation report,” the filing from Mueller's team reads.

A pre-sentence report is used to help a judge prepare for a possible sentence, providing information on the individual's criminal history, cooperation with authorities, as well as other details that will aid the judge's decision.

The latest development suggests Mueller's team is looking to kickstart the sentencing process.

Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI last year and has cooperated with Mueller's team, according to court filings cited by ABC News.

He has also been free on bond since pleading guilty.

Shame on Sessions for enabling this ongoing injustice.

I second that.

Watching Comey on his book tour interviews and given his own legal exposure, one would have to think that either he is either ‘extremely careless’ person, to borrow a phrase, or else he got broad immunity from Rosenstein and Mueller very early on in return for giving his account to Mueller’s team of what happened between him and President Trump.

Mueller wants to close this fast because it is clear now that Papadopulos was set up by Mifsud and Halper.

Mark Steyn Online details it.

He should’ve hired Reed Smith.

So Papadopoulos was “colluding” and “meddling” with the Russkis?

True.

Brennan, Clapper, Holder, Comey, McCabe, the Witch, Rice, Powers and a host of others have lied and lied under oath and nothing happened.

That was my question, too.

He's going to get a one year suspended sentence and $20,000 fine.

BS...He's a little creep who played games trying to be some big shot...and got caught. He's a little pr***.

The Trump people told him to get lost on numerous occasions. They don't even know where the hell he came from. He was with Carson at first. Makes no sense.

I’d just like Trump to nullify everything that prick Mueller has done.

I believe a lot of people don’t realize the practice of the federal government in that they can prosecute you with absolutely no evidence whatsoever! These federal prosecutors get two witnesses to say you did it and years after the fact. The States will drop charges and the feds will swoop in and prosecute with absolutely no evidence! I’m not sure when this unconstitutional act began, but it’s opened the door to so many unethical prosecutors convicting people that would dare to fight them. Crazy...

He can always use the Clapper Defense as put forth on the view:

He didn’t lie-he was confused and was thinking of some other situation-so he was mistaken, but didn’t lie. LOL

So, Papadopoulos, who was “inspired” with “information” from an FBI PLANT Stefan Halper (a “cutout” from Brit intel or a double agent for brits) , said information a complete fabrication of crapola created by “russian” sources from wherever (well paid no doubt). Papadop, armed with this Heavy duty “info” planted in his skull— gets liquored up and spills it to an Aussie diplomat pal of the Clintons-— cleverly “placed” to receive his “spill” so that he can report this to the FBI who hired the “plant” Halper in the first place. And then Papadop is accused of “lying to the FBI” and is so charged. This is so f’n LAME of Mueller it defies logic. Someone needs to really lambaste Mueller for the shitehole that he and all of his little shites actually are. The “LAW” is not served and neither is “Justice” . This man is a supreme loser of an a@@hole.

Anyone know what he lied about?

He was setup (entrapped) by an FBI operation, which to any fair minded person would be viewed as an illegal operation. Post 9 explains.

Papadop was “inspired” with “information” from mysterious Professor Mifsud said to be close to the Kremlin, that Russia had Hillary emails.

The Aussie diplomat pal of the Clintons received the spill of this information, that Russia had Hillary emails.

Actually, Halper later tried to get Papadop to spill something slightly different: that Papadop had advance knowledge of Russia hacking DNC emails. Papadop denied knowing that.

A rumor that Hillary’s deleted emails were in the hands of the Russians was not much for the FBI to justify spying on the Trump campaign. That’s why they have tried hard to twist it into advance knowledge of the DNC emails hack (but which really appears to be an insider leak by Seth Rich or the Pakistanis).

My guess is Mifsud was also the Russian “source” for the Steele dossier, and was channeling info from Hillary’s team to Steele.
