Well, I figured that the Seattle contagion would eventually wend itself into other cities. I just didn't think it'd be this soon.

Commies have never met a tax they didn't like. Creating new taxes is their idea of innovation.

“When you think of the six-figure incomes that tech companies pay their employees, a tax of $200 per employee doesn’t seem to be that much more to pay,”

There you go - when you're paying employees to do real work, why not throw some more money the government's way so liberals can spend it on whatever strikes their fancy?

Liberals are insane (defined as doing the same thing while expecting a different result).

And yet they wonder why companies move elsewhere or go overseas or hire non American help...NOT always the salaries, sometimes the screwing the companies get from the Cities/Counties/States FOR hiring Americans.

Just like that little ‘tax break’ PDT ‘gave’ us, ALL cities/towns/municipalities etc raised taxes on SOMETHING just to make sure WE don’t get the few pennies doled out to us.

Time for another ‘Boston Tea Party’ with all the trimmings

On the other hand, since “WE” expect everything the town etal has to offer and complain if the garbage pickup is late or too noisy, or the 1/2” of snow isn’t off Main Street, ‘they’ have to invent ways to get into our pockets.

Really a disgusting loop de loop de loop

When you think of the six-figure incomes that tech companies pay their employees earn, and the five-figure tax burden those employees already pay to the government, an additional tax of $200 per employee doesn’t seem to be that much more for employees to pay have taken out of their paycheck,

First Seattle, then Mountain View.I'll bet that Utah,Wyoming and Arizona will start looking pretty good to larger employers.

A year or two ago the State of Connecticut started talking about enacting a special tax on Yale's huge endowment.Soon after I heard a story that Florida officials were trying to lure Yale to move down there!

Actions have consequences!

Punishing companies based on the number of people they employ in an area discourages them from employing a large number of people in that area.

“When you think of the six-figure incomes that tech companies pay”

Ignorance on display. The company’s current profit will determine how hard hitting a new tax will be.

“When you think of the six-figure incomes that tech companies pay their employees, a tax of $200 per employee doesn’t seem to be that much more to pay,” Mountain View City Councilman John McAlister, a subcommittee member, said Wednesday.

One of the main principles of criminal governance is Law #1...

All tax and mandatory fees which start at 0.01% shall increase exponentially until the elected criminal leaves office... or is arrested; or worse.
