Memorial Day weekend proved even bloodier than last year in Chicago.
At least eight people were killed and 25 others wounded in shootings across the city since midnight Friday, police told WLS. Last year, over the entire weekend of the unofficial start of summer, seven people were killed and 45 others were hurt.
The victims, WLS reported, include China Marie Lyons-Upshaw, who was shot in the chest while playing with a gun; Bobbieana Lyons, 20, a young mother shot and killed on her doorstep while celebrating her 2-year-old’s birthday; and a 31-year-old man shot twice in the chest and once in the head after he got into a fight with another man.
To try and reduce the grim statistics, police had been trying to curb gun violence by employing 1,300 extra officers on patrol with help from state and federal partners.

It can’t be blamed on white gunmen or the AR-15, so no one cares.
Gun control is useful only to the fake news media when it can use it to turn people in the country against each other.

Exactly how far are you FROM Chicago? I live about 250 miles north of Chicago and that is still not far enough from that cesspool. There are MANY, MANY ex-Chicago dwellers where I live, ask yourself why they migrated north?
And it helps reduce the population of embarrassing swains the Left’s daughters might bring home.

This has no relationship to the level of gun laws. It has entirely to do with the available number of criminals in a given locale. Compare the murder rates between Chicago and Montpellier, VT. One has something the other does not.

But, but...I thought “black lives mattered”. If indeed this was true, why hasn’t the “black community” put a stop to the stupidity?

Black Lives Matters is intended to keep blacks angry at whites and cement the Democratic Party’s hold over Black America.
Exploiting racial divisions is certainly cynical and the objective isn’t to save black lives or to bring us altogether.
Just like gun control is intended to weaken our right to keep and bear arms, not to stop mass slaughters.

Problem is that the ghetto thugs are not staying in the ghetto. Now they rape and rob and assault in the middle of the day In River North and Michigan Avenue and every other “safe” place.
