She’s of Vietnamese decent and was born in San Diego. So no she was not hired to satisfy Chinese anything. That’s just plain a stupid lie that came out when she was cast that is perpetuated by stupid people.
So what you’re saying is, the studio doesn’t even have the bad excuse of “we need Asians in the cast if we’re going to make any money in the China market, or even be allowed to screen it there” to support such a bad casting decision?
Perhaps either of you can explain why someone with barely a career outside of Youtube was injected into the mix at such a late date into production - with such exclamation ?
