There is a reason that Trump has not gotten the answers and declassified and unreacted everything. The only excuse I have is because all of this non-stop dripping drama serves his purposes.
Why in the world would he keep Sessions if he is totally asleep? Is he just waiting until the mid-terms? Trump does not tolerate fools. We know this to be true, but his tweets and public shaming have been increasingly brutal lately.
I can’t figure it out.
I’m similarly perplexed. Perhaps it’s the appointing process and the timing that keeps Session in place.
He might well HAVE some kind of intuition that this game needs to be played out over an appropriate time frame. He’s managed to get lefties to get very rabid in the public eye by dragging it out, and the general public is getting more and more jaded about this. All that sizzle and not an ounce of steak.

Exactly. People seem to forget that Trump knew where most of the bodies were buried before he even ran for President. He now, of course, has the power to spill it to the public at the time of his choosing.

A) The Enemedia would crucify him far worse than for anything before.
B) The RINOs would use it as pretext to openly oppose him on everything - and act self righteous about it.
C) The Senate would refuse to confirm a new AG - and anyone else, including judges.
I do not believe in 3D Chess; it violates Occam’s Razor in too many ways.
For one thing, I am to believe these two contradictory things simultaneously:
A) Jeff Sessions is a supremely honorable man who lives to meticulously uphold the rule of law.
B) Jeff Sessions has violated the rule of law by allowing the Constitutional rights of American citizens to be trampled by an illicit special counsel and acting attorney general, both of whom have more and worse conflicts of interest than he ever had.
The Sessions Sycophants - sundance and crowd - blithely insist they can have their cake and eat it too... all the while bragging about the Silent Assassin.
If Sessions really is playing a secret game, then he is breaking the law to enforce the law. That means We The People lose.
As things are, Trump enjoys the sympathies of the electorate who are not fully onto Establishment RINOs and how much they want him gone. If he does something that is portrayed as Obstruction by them, he will lose the casual conservatives who fall for the superficial narratives.
The dripping is a side effect of not declassifying material that might compromise secret sources. Now we found out one of the secret sources was Halper who was a paid informant. Pretty soon we'll find out more about Mifsud, another source kept secret in the Papadop indictment. It's possible Mifsud was really a Russian agent. Or it's possible Mifsud was a British agent. Or Mifsud was just a nothing and Papadop was presssured to plead guilty with a big stick, and let's not forget the carrot (Italian wife).
In any case for all the griping, it didn't matter in the least to MAGA whether we found out about Halper sooner, and doesn't really matter when we find out about Mifsud. Although I would think it would be a good October surprise for either Trump or the deep state. Always remember the deep state can make up new stuff, but they can't do as much new stuff with the old stuff still outstanding particularly if the old stuff is deep state misdeeds.
