It will come down to sticks. Long sticks strung into a bow and sicks with a sharp metal point. With enough practice one could shoot that polished apple off a teacher’s head.
I read liberals and CNN think that high school students ought to decide what is best for gun control now, i.e. Hogg et. al. Let the kids decide while they still think they know it all.
But the real problem behind the scenes of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting was not the parents' guns. The Obama administration's Department of Education endorsed and strongly recommended a program called Promises, where the schools would not report troubled kids who committed crimes to law enforcement because they thought that "unfairly" targeted too many blacks and poor kids.
The new procedures came as more than a recommendation from the Feds because it also came with threats of federal investigations and defunding for districts that refused to fully comply with Promises and "restorative justice" as they called it.
IOW, instead of referring kids committing crimes in the schools to law enforcement, they thought unicorns and pixie dust counseling would turn these troubled kids around and not give them criminal records.
As it turns out, the school shooter, Cruz, was well known by the students, teachers and law enforcement as someone who was likely to cause trouble. But even after 45 contacts with Cruz and his family, he was never arrested because of this "Promises" program. Any arrest would have shown up in a background check when he went to buy a gun. Instead, he looked like a law-abiding kid too young to buy a gun.
Compounding the problem was that Broward County sheriff deputies were on the scene outside the school and did nothing while Cruz was murdering kids inside. Disgraceful inaction on the part of law enforcement.
My point is this. Until we take our focus off of guns and zero-in on troubled kids who are bullied and taunted and have mental issues, Cuomo's proposed legislation is just so much more of the same.
Taking guns away from people who are not breaking the law is the Left's goal but it will not stop kids or people from killing each other.
And you are sending your child to one of New York’s kiddy prisons.... why?
I keep asking this question... why do parents still have their kids in the government schools? Is it worth the subsidized babysitting to have your kids exposed to what they are doing?
I know it’s a major sacrifice, but if enough parents took their kids out of the government schools, then things would have to change. For one thing, people would be less likely to keep pouring money into this failed system.

In the Parkland case, every law enforcement agency from local police to the FBI was informed about Cruz and they all did nothing. This BS from Cuomo is just gun confiscation. Try doing this with taking a parents car and all hell would break loose.
CONFISCATION...that’s right, knock on doors, no warning, SWAT cops swarming your house with you planted face down, every human you know is a potential snitch....

Best case for private schools I’ve ever heard.
Progressives have claimed to favor "choice" for decades. Let them prove that they have sincere convictions about "choice" by confronting them with legislation which allows real choice for parents as to the method and places where their children will receive their education for living in a free society.

You are saying that the STUDENT could be a danger so then act accordingly. Take action on the Student not on the parents or their rights! No can’t do that, that is not right but infringing on the parents rights because the kid is dangerous is okay? This Governor is a moron!
