Has Trump ever confirmed he’s close to Roger Stone or is that jut the fevered imagination of Stone and the Post?

I think the Trump campaign briefly engaged Stone back in 2015; someone put them wise (or perhaps DJT had a bad feeling) and they severed ties with him. IIRC he was involved with the campaign for a month or two at most.

I think Stone wanted to be involved in the Trump campaign, but Trump passed. And Caputo was a part of the campaign for about 5 minutes before he was jettisoned. Both of them are political knuckleheads, so Trump was wise to keep them at a distance.

DJT was introduced to Stone by the somewhat famous attorney Roy Cohn when Stone was working for the 1980 Reagan campaign.
DJT did favors for and supported Stone and the NY Reagan campaign.
