Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Tuesday that Democrats would reject legislation to address the crisis at the U.S-Mexico border, where children have been separated from adults after crossing illegally.
“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” Schumer said, as quoted by The Hill. “Legislation is not the way to go here when it’s so easy for the president to sign it.” The Hill‘s Alexander Bolton observed: “Schumer said [Democrats] want to keep the focus on Trump.”

He wants to live in a country where legislation is at the whim of a presidents signature?

If I were Trump, I’d write a time-limited executive order and it would end seven days after the election in November. Either they stand up and do real legislation or it goes back to the norm. You can blame Democrats for failure.
Anything done with the President’s pen can be undone with the next President’s pen. Only legislation will provide a REAL fix that is permanent. I have been listening to this absurd immigration crap since the early 1980’s. Time to fix it for good!!!!!
Democrats think separating children from their parents is so terrible because of the pain it causes those poor children.
That’s why they only favor separating children from parents if they can immediately stop the children’s pain - by having a Planned Parent abortionist kill them.
EVERYTHING the Dems have tried to use against this POTUS have not worked, but the kids/separation appears to be a winning election idea.

I’m sure that they had planned to unleash this “crisis” in Sept or Oct, but because of a wide range of issues trending Trump’s way, they decided to unleash it now as a distraction. No telling what they will unleash in Sept or Oct. Maybe get their pal Mueller to leak something damaging.
