Trump: 'We're Not Going to Give Any More Aid' to Countries That Send Illegal Immigrants to U.S.

(CNSNews.com) - "Let's do the right thing," President Trump told a gathering in Washington on Tuesday. He was speaking about legislation to stop unchecked illegal immigration.

But Democrats on Tuesday flatly refused to support legislation, saying it's unnecessary when President Trump could simply adopt a different "policy." Trump indicated that he may adopt a new policy -- one that denies financial aid to countries that send their people fleeing north.

Snip

"We have a chance. We want to solve this problem, we want to solve family separation, I don't want children taken away from parents," Trump said.

And when you prosecute the parents for coming in illegally, which should happen, you have to take the children away. Now we don't have to prosecute them, but then we're not prosecuting them for coming in illegally. That's not good.

We want to end the border crisis by finally giving us the legal authorities and the resources to detain and remove illegal immigrant families altogether and bring them back to their country. We have to bring them back to their country.

Now think of all that aid that we give some of these countries, hundreds of millions of dollars we give to some of these countries, and they send them up.

Well I'm going to go, very shortly, for authorization that when countries abuse us by sending their people up, not their best, we're not going to give anymore aid to those countries. Why the hell should we? Why should we?..."

If they’re going to keep sending us their people we’ll need that money to care for them.

Because presidential administrations up until Trump have been a bunch of chumps. We have had a giant kick-me sign on the back of our back for decades.

You are correct on this corruption factor.

Ever noticed how you never see any Costa Ricans in this migration ‘pool’? It’s generally always Hondurans, El Salvadorans, Guatemalans, and Mexicans. Most people from Costa Rican will tell you that they are happy and have virtually no reason to head north.

Since Mexico is avoiding any responsibility for the steady flow of refugees and the inherent cost of providing for them, I believe that we should ban wire transfers from the US to Mexico and by any other means necessary to curtail the profit motive for allowing this to go on.

Since Mehico is so dangerous that Mexican “refugees” are flooding into America, we also need to prohibit all American tourism to Mehico.

"It’s generally always Hondurans, El Salvadorans, Guatemalans, and Mexicans."

And will no one ask and get to the root cause:

* What is wrong and so dysfunctional about these Governments.
* Are they corrupt? Inept? or both?
* What fosters the likes of M$-1* in their countries?
* And they haven't come or ask for help to grow their economies?

I agree with this. Poverty affects most countries. Each country should take care of their own poor, or Ask for formal aid for specific poverty fighting programs their own govt will implement. Give us the full proposal and we can aid in funding, but your country solves their own poverty program.

But if the country wishes to farm out their poor for billions $ coming in from our country, then they don’t need any aid.

Nah..!

He needs to ALSO levy some tax on Western Union remittances for EACH illegal caught, to offset the US costs of their capture, etc.

Remittances are juuuust behind oil for Mexico in terms of national income: they have NO interest at all in curtailing illegal immigration.

In fact, the Mexican support for it’s citizens radically escalate AFTER they have left:

To the Mexy Gummint people STILL THERE are annoying expenses, people who have left are pleasant INCOME.

We also need a 10% remittance tax on all payments sent to Mexico to build the Wall, since they haven’t stepped up and volunteered to pay for it.

Why does India get a free pass?

They are a strategic counter-balance to China. China is determined to bury the US - they have very explicit, deliberate plans, and huge programs underway, to do it. India has no such hostility.

China and India have border disputes, and have been to war against each other. China is the main sponsor of India’s nemesis, Pakistan. India is the only other country on Earth with the population to offset China’s advantage in numbers (and India is growing faster). India is also bearing the brunt of building a Navy ships fast enough to offset the rapid growth of China’s Navy.

But India lags behind China in development (although its GDP growth rate recently passed China’s). In the long run, we are a lot better off with a strong, rich India, than strong, rich communist China (which has been explicitly identifying the USA as their main opponent in their Government and Military documents for decades). In the mean time, India (and only India) can replace the high growth investment opportunities and cheap skilled workers that made China attractive.
