Wow, this is great news! If the UN - a group with a charter that literally spans the world and its 7 billion plus inhabitants - has nothing more important to worry about than my privately owned 9mm handgun.... Just wow, the world must be in pretty great shape. No disease, hunger, pollution, oppression issues anywhere. :-/
Unless of course they're interested in my personal firearms for a different reason- like maybe myself and a few million other like minded freedom lovers might resist their dreams of conquest and control.
