CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS delivered the opinion of the Court.

"Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, foreign nationals seeking entry into the United States undergo a vetting process to ensure that they satisfy the numerous requirements for admission." "The Act also vests the President with authority to restrict the entry of aliens when- ever he finds that their entry “would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.” 8 U. S. C. §1182(f)."

" Relying on that delegation, the President concluded that it was necessary to impose entry restrictions on nationals of countries that do not share adequate information for an informed entry determination, or that otherwise present national security risks. Presidential Proclamation No. 9645, 82 Fed. Reg. 45161 (2017) (Proclamation)."

"The (Hawaiian) plaintiffs in this litigation, respondents here, challenged the application of those entry restrictions to certain aliens abroad. We now decide whether the President had authority under the Act to issue the Proclamation, and whether the entry policy violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment."

The real story is that it was not 9-0.

This is pathetic.

Still now tired of winning! But it still shows with the 4 votes against that political activism is alive with judges even in the USC even if the Constitution is clear about it.

The liberal justices who blocked it said it was because of his campaign rhetoric that made it unconstitutional, that if Obama did it it would have been constitutional.

Implement immediately.

If they're in the air, escort them from the deplaning ramp to a deportation bus.

Or better yet, require them to stay on the plane for the return trip.

A major win for President Trump. The Liberal Justices are howling. They hyperbolically compared the decision to Korematsu v. United States, the decision which allowed FDR to intern Americans who were Japanese. Liberals allows use emotion in response to logic. The majority responded by symbolically overruling Korematsu.

The fact that this was a 5-4 vote shows how politicized SCOTUS has become. This should have been a slam dunk for Trump.
