Climate change/global warming, impacts everything, every conceivable human activity, every conceivable natural disaster, etc. Women and minorities are hardest hit.

in this case, in their fill in the blank template, they are going with the story of how the dairy industry will be impacted. It could be any farming, any business, any groups of people, for which you could fill in the blank, and say that climate change will hurt whoever or whatever is being discussed.

“If climate projections hold, it will threaten the dairy industry in Lancaster County,” said Heather Karsten, an associate professor of crop production ecology at Penn State.”

Tell it to the sun you whack job.

But it seems like only yesterday (1990) that Algore predicted we’d all be swimming in a global ocean in 20 years

I live in Lancaster co. Pa. There isn’t any dairy anymore. They are all closing up and giving up. The price is so low they can’t survive now. Let alone 2050!

Double wait a minute.

This says they will run out of corn, so they can’t feed the cows over the winter!

Wuery, is Lancaster County the only place they can grow corn? Are the Amish prohibited from buying corn from elsewhere? (Up North, presumably in the Artic where it will be so warm that they can grow it there!)

2050! What a bunch of crap. Recently there were articles (discussed here) about the predictions from 30 years ago and what it would be like now, in 2018. False, every one. Not even close.

Climate Warmers gotta scare!

You have a valid point there! I hunt on Amish farms, in Kirkwood. Jeff, sold 90% of his cows. His son, Jeff Jr., is slowly trying to bring the herd back.

The biggest problem for Jeff, was that only one his sons, Jeff Jr., decided to stay Amish. The other three are building barns.

These people think no one knows that the parent genetic stock of maize comes from far hotter and drier regions than where most corn is grown now. Commercial seed corn genetics could be easily adapted.

Milo (sorghum) has the same nutrient profile as corn and grows in hotter and drier climates.

People doing this ‘study’ should be arrested for fraud.
