Jimmy Carter: Jesus Would 'Approve' of Gay Marriage, Some Abortions
Breitbart ^ | July 9, 2018 | Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D.

Posted on 07/09/2018 8:16:05 AM PDT by Zakeet

Speaking of his faith, Mr. Carter said in his career as a politician he never ran across "any really serious conflicts between my political obligations and my religious faith."

Asked about gay marriage, he replied that it is "no problem with me. I think everybody should have a right to get married regardless of their sex."

Regarding whether he thinks Jesus would approve of gay marriage, Carter replied "I don’t have any verse in Scripture," but added, "I believe that Jesus would approve of gay marriage."

"I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else and I don't see that gay marriage damages anyone else," he said.

‘Until Heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the law, until all is accomplished’ (Matthew 5:18).
Not sure if I am interpreting this correctly Jimmeh, but Jesus believed the WORD of GOD, so you must have forgotten all those bits in the Old Testament where sodomy is mentioned. On the other hand, maybe you are thinking men can marry each other but are celibate? Or the way nuns are brides of Christ and monks are married to the church?

“I think everybody should have a right to get married regardless of their sex.”

Homosexuality and abortion have already been judged, and God didn’t ask Jimmy Carter for his thoughts on either one.

I have to ask, Jesus also told us that Shepherds or pastors who don’t look after their flock will be punished.

Would that be possible to drill down to say Pharmaceuticals, which cause brain chemistry changes with effects we really don’t know but... What if this supposed surge in homosexuality was due to brain chemistry Alterations by drugs that are in the ecosystem that we currently live in?

Sadly Jimmy Carter is a leader, a shepherd, a pastor... If you will. Remarks that he is making such as those stated in the article may lead to his damnation as a Christian. he is either turning delusional or suffering with dementia or perhaps becoming mushy headed or worse... Pandering to the Press to feed his vanity... That would be a terrible place to be, and one that we should all be very aware of throughout our entire lives

“I think everybody should have a right to get married regardless of their sex.”

They've always been able to, men were allowed to marry women, whether they were gay or not.

Since Jesus is the very same Yahweh who dictated Leviticus chapters 18 and 20 to Moses, Mr Carter’s take on the matter is as wrong as going north in the southbound lane of the 405.

The left is shaping religion to their own ends, and it’s working. Mainstream protestant churches have gone left, and have left Christianity.

carter was the second worst president of all time.

WOW.

That is called BLASEPHEMY Jimmy.

Saying Christ would/could sin is Blasphemy.

Abortion is murder. Death is a result of sin. The only thing related to sin that touched Christ was the cruelty inflicted by man on him AND the PUNISHMENT for sin we deserved.

SIN and Christ are as far as the East is from the West.

Wrong, Jimma.

“Dear Jimmah...please hurry up and get where you’re going. Idiot!”

George Carlin needs to return from the dead and add Carter to his “list of people who need to be killed!”

Almighty God gave His laws to Moses and His Son came to fulfill those laws, not to condemn His Laws.

And God said in one of those laws that homosexuality is perversion and an abomination, punishable by death.

In fact, after Christ, the Apostle Paul, addressed homosexuality between men and women in Romans 1 and he also condemned it. (You would think the design of the human body would be enough for any fool to understand.)

For Jimmy Carter to say that the HOLY Son of God would be okay with an abomination, a perversion of the human body that God made in His image is blasphemy and it’s evil.

I especially note the verses about sodomites receiving the “due penalty” for their abominations. I note that it was after Stonewall that hiv/aids became an epidemic.

I just looked up the year in which "patient zero" was identified. It was post-Stonewall. The sodomite lobby is now claiming that he wasn't "patient zero" for the US/Canada, that that was a useful lie, used to shunt blame onto the Reagan administration and the public for supposedly not caring that it was, at that time (and in truth, mostly ever since) a "gay disease".

The sodomite lobby is now calling for the "right" for high-risk people to give blood. I really do believe that this is their attempt to once again try to "share the misery" (why is this such a common goal of the left, in any issue?), because thanks to certain measures, hiv/aids remains mostly confined to individuals who choose to live high-risk lifestyles, particularly sodomites and intravenous drug users.

Yes, and when people try to equate all sins, I remember that. They’re all equal in the eternal consequences, but not all equal in societal impact, and I believe that God Almighty Himself shows us this.

Hey Jimmah- Jesus never denounced marrying dolphins either- so according to your idiotic logic, as long as the two ‘aren’t hurting anyone’ who are we to denounce it?

And by the way Jimmah- homosexuals have on average over a 1000 sexual partners even after marriage in many cases- They spread their disease and bodily destruction around to many many individuals, and many homosexuals admit to pedophilia- like 40+%- Spreading disease around society IS hurting other people Jimmah- it also forces taxpayers to pick up their outrageous medical expenses as they suffer from aids, STD’s, blown out colons, ruptured colons, colon cancer etc etc etc-

It is a damnable liberal LIE that homosexuals don’t ‘hurt other people’- They most certainly do- by an large- they hurt most of society by their deviant abominations. Many Many homosexuals are not monogomous, and have way way more partners than heterosexuals do-

Thankfully the majority of the country did.

Reagan 489 EVs

Carter 49 EVs

Carter's never gotten over the spanking he received in 1980. The election was called by 8:15 by NBC. It was that much of a rout.
