IMHO Schumer told President Trump privately that Kavanaugh would be a go, even if publicly they would be against him. Trump knows he has the votes.

Likely a correct assessment.

So much of what we will see in the coming weeks will all be theatrics on the part of many for the consumption of their constituents.
